G4Free 40L Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack, Waterproof Travel Daypack

I love this lightweight backpack in light blue! It is a beautiful aqua color. The ripstop fabric seems very sturdy. I think that this backpack is perfect for a woman of average height, but may not work as well for a tall man or woman. It's actually not that large. I have a G4Free 40L backpack of similar design from several years ago and this 35L backpack is about one inch narrower at the bottom. If you can use it as a travel bag, that's great, but I'd find it a bit small for that. As a daypack for hiking it's perfect, though. Numerous features including many pockets and a front clip with whistle. The plastic lined zipped compartment is on the back of the backpack and it's fairly large - almost the full length of the backpack. This backpack is a bit heavier than my previous one (480 gm versus 314 gm), and it also has a bit more stiffness and rigidity to it. I'd be hesitant to fold it into the pouch for fear that the plastic in lined pocket would degrade over time. I just received it, so I haven't tested it out, but I'm really pleased with it so far! My old G4Free backpack is still going strong, but the fabric has gotten worn over time and it has two small tears that I covered with clear nail polish. It doesn't help that I've brought it to the beach and filled it with rocks and shells....See my photo for comparison of 40L backpack vs this 35L backpack. As you can see, the 35L backpack is considerably larger when folded into the front pocket that becomes the backpack storage sack. The logo on the 35L is sewn on rather than printed on as it is on the 40L model. If you were to examine these two backpacks side by side as I have done, you’d most likely agree that the 35L model has far superior construction. The selling features of the 40L are the smaller size for packing when folded, less weight and larger capacity. Both have same comfortable shoulder straps. Personally I believe that the 35L model is much more attractive and appears to be sturdier.

I got this backpack to replace an old backpack whose zippers were finally starting to fail. This backpack has a lots of pockets, both external and internal, which makes it handy for organizing your stuff. The compartments are spacious and the backpack itself is very lightweight but sturdy. My only complaint is the small front pocket. Unlike most of the other compartments, it has a single direction zipper. This means that you cannot just open the top of the pocket. That forces you to open the compartment from the bottom which can allow the contents to spill out. Since there are a lot of compartments, you can work around this, but it is inconvenient.

I do not write a lot of review but I had to for the backpack ! I got the colorful one and not only it is beautiful, it was the perfect backpack for our trip. It is huge, full of convenient pockets, super cute and super lightweight and comfortable! What else do you want ?!I got the same one for my husband in a different color and we found that the quality of the fabric was not exactly the same and we préfères the quality of the printed one. The wet pocket in the back is definitely a plus too ! As you can see, we are super happy about our purchase !!!

This is exactly what I was looking for - the backpack appears well made and it folds easily into itself leaving an 8" by 10" by 2" bundle that will tuck easily into the front compartment of my suitcase when not in use. I had ordered a different brand at first but returned it because it was difficult to refold, but this one was easy-peasy! It unfolds nicely into a full size backpack that I plan to use on day trips and side excursions when traveling. There is both an outside and inside zipper compartment, mesh pockets with straps on the outside for water bottles and even a chest strap with an emergency whistle. Very pleased with this purchase.

The best backpack I could ever wish for! Light! Strong! Waterproof pocket! We swam in waters in the Narrow river (Zion Park) walking 10 miles .. it dried fast! And all my stuff on the waterproof pocket was safe! I like that it has lots of pockets!!! I attached my hiking sticks to it! I had a lot of stuff and water and extra pair of shoes and I still had plenty of room for more cloths! After 10 days of rough hi Kong’s nothing broke on this backpack!

This backpack is really cool! It has a beautiful material in a soft lightweight nylon. I used it for a hike in the desert with my kid and a friend. I carried all our stuff, with frozen water bottles to keep cool, sunscreen, first aid kit, phones, and snacks. It was perfect. The condensation from the water bottles didn't leak out onto my back. The chest strap kept the bag from sagging and relieved the weight. The only thing I could say bad about this is there are so many pockets, I couldn't remember where I packed what! That's not really bad though, more a lack of my own organization, lol!

This is a great backpack, we use it as a change bag and there is loads of space for stuff for two kids and space to put things in for us parents too! There are lots of pocket, very handy to split out clothes, food etc. The bag is lightweight material and comfy to wear, even has a whistle on the cheat strap which wasn’t expected! The material has been fine in a light shower (not used yet in heavier rain) and no marks or damage as yet from the many transitions from car to buggy to house etc. Love the pattern and colours, very pretty. I really hope it lasts a long time as I love it!

This is a fantastic versatile backpack. It has so many products. Pretty enough to use for shopping and versatile enough for sports and for hill walking. It has a separate pocket for wet items so great for swimming too. Its also lightweight. Great value, highly recommend.

Really great value but if your going to use it a lot then this isn’t for you, great for occasional use

Bought for a holiday at Disney. Haven’t used it yet but it looks perfect for my needs. Nice and lightweight but sturdy enough to hold water bottles, snacks, raincoat etc

Perfect for carry-on, under the seat in front of you luggage. Very well made and extremely roomy
