Interesting subject matter but not very well written.
I guess I should have read more of the title: "Selections from Memoirs" this might have clued me into the fact that it's not what I was hoping for.

Short and telling
A received this book as a Christmas gift and really enjoyed it. This is a fascinating short collection of three great financial bubbles of centuries ago and is a good reminder that gullible people will sometimes rush into buying magical money makers that others, often skillfully and maliciously, are elevating to great promises and prices. It reminds me of the 2017/2018 cryptocurrency/ICO bubble that amassed great sums from those who did not want to miss the latest (fool's ) gold rush.

DO NOT BUY!
This is NOT the book. It’s a pathetic 97 page summary of the real book. My fault for purchasing in a hurry, and not clicking on to expand to the full title which says it’s a summary. BUT I can’t understand why anyone would want a hard copy of the SUMMARY, when the full book is available to read online for free along with plentiful versions of summaries. If I could give zero stars I would-this is completely worthless.
