DO NOT BUY! The application for this is no longer available.
DO NOT BUY! The AppMates application is no longer available. My wife bought these in September as Christmas presents, but since the app is no longer available, this was a huge disappointment. The window has closed to return these, so this was a waste of money.

Frustrating, Mater doesn't work, McFinn works 1/2 time
My son loves to play the Cars game on my ipad and kept asking for the "real" cars so we got him this for Christmas. Mater does NOT work at all and the McFinn car works but not very well and only after I took of the screen protector. The game takes a long time to recognize McFinn and then stops while he's playing with it. After about a week, my son has given up using the McFinn car. He still regularly plays the game but he just uses the "paper" Lightning (his fingers). A waste of money!

Works Perfectly!
We're fortunate that our years-old iPad mini still has the Cars 2 app game, as it's no longer available in the App Store. A couple of years ago we held back on purchasing the toy because some reviews said that it only worked for the iPad 2. But this year we were convinced that it might actually work, and so we bought this pack. And yes, the toys do work on our boy's humble iPad mini! Our kid is so thrilled!

Complete garbage
Wow. These things are garbage! We purchased the McQueen/Shiftwell pack from the Apple Store soon after they came out. Those cars do not have springy feet on the bottom and work quite well with the app. These Mater/McMissile cars worked for about 5 minutes before they quit altogether. They only work intermittently. I don't understand why these are different from the ones we purchased last year at the Apple Store. Do not waste your money.

Great Gift for kids
Arrived in perfect condition. My two pre-schoolers love this app and to be able to get them two more cars for it is awesome. I love that there is no in app purchases and that in order to get more stuff in the app, the kids have to complete certain tasks and earn hub caps to trade in for things like new tires, missiles, tow hitches, colored headlights and more.

They work with the APPMates App, Finn McMissile easier to use than Mater
They work fine, but the Mater vehicle is hard to hold since you have to make electrical contact with the windows and is hard to do with the shape of Mater and his mirrors. The other car, Finn McMissile is easy to hold on to and works well. I had to buy Lightning McQueen separately through Amazon.

Overpriced App toy
My grandchildren have enjoyed using these little cars with my Ipad game. I do have to remove the film screen protector from the surface for the car to work. But, even my 3 year old can manipulate them with pretty fair accuracy and understanding. However, the cars were about $15 each and I think that is much too expensive for what they are.

Service good
The service was great and the package arrived earlier than expected but the products is not worth the cost. It doesn't work all the time and if you have protection on your screen which is recommended on the package it doesn't work at all

Well i bought these for kids for crimbo.. parents not too impressed as i basically gave the kids permission to mess on the ipads but hey hoe... they LOVED EM!
