Installs easy and works well. This replaced the exact same unit I put in 7 years ago. This well has a lot of sediment which may have shortened its life.

Installed one for my neighbor and loved it so much, I got one for my well. Really like this pump! Great value.

Mid end pump. I installed this 6 months ago and it is still going strong . I did add the Pump Protect box for protecting this pump so I hope that's a good insurance for it's longevity. At the price it was on sale I bought another to have on hand for a backup to have ready for a quick swap out if/when the time comes. As you know your pump goes out whenever it does and you may want to be able to address it with a backup and not have to shop around or find one available locally if you can. At $250 it was a no brainer. They now cost north of $550. Plan ahead. Drop list the size you need and get one on sale!

Installed this to replace a virtually identical Franklin Electric that had been in service for roughly 10 years that just decided to stop pumping one day .. check valve clear, motor spins... but the tell tale plastic chunks that came out of the case let me know the impeller had expired.. Ordered this Red Lion / Franklin Electric as a direct replacement .. installed .. fully functional for 78 days until it started to echo through my cistern like a 12 valve Cummins with only a trickle of water flowing to my well controller set at a low 40 psi . .. could only imagine that it is the same thing .. without the 10 year life span ..It was installed in a shallow cistern.. I myself have been operating on the same system for over 7 years with no problems .. There is no floating debris, and the water is actually delivered water from local city services system .. the pump intake was never less than completely submerged..Fast forward to the panic that was trying to avoid replacing it with yet another Red Lion I switched to a different style jet pump..Now I have a pump I would like to at least like to get replaced but naturally would like my money back .. .. Go to Amazon page .. find PDF for warranty info. Call number. Go through annoying automated menu system.. only to have automated menu system tell me for warranty , please refer to point of purchase.... seems like a pointless vicious cycle... that cost me $301.02 .. clearly .. no stars should be an option ..
