They're a solid build with what seems like quality materials throughout. I'm a size 9 uk and ordered to the correct size, they fit comfortably with no squished toes... However, the next day i took a 2 hour walk wearing light cotton socks, and these boots tore my feet to pieces. Blisters on my toes and heels. For a week or so as i let my feet heal up, i was unsure about these boots, i thought that maybe i had wasted Ā£80... However, i'm stubborn, and i wanted to stick with them and try to break them in. I started wearing thick cordura socks, and these made a huge difference. No more hotspots or blisters, plus the cordura socks add a little extra waterproofing. It took a couple of weeks before i felt sure they were broken in good and proper... I give these boots five stars, because even though i suffered at the beginning, once they're properly broken in, they are excellent. Strong, stable and sturdy. I haven't tried them up the mountains yet, but i feel confident they'll hold up really well... My top advice, wear thick socks from the start, and give yourself a bit of time to break them in.
