A really wonderful work of metaphysics and humor
This is one of the best of the Illuminati series. Is very entertaining is also the basis of Mystikal thinking is not lost here is it grounds the work in some reality. If you have a hankering to find out about the Loch Ness monster and other Mysteries . This is a very smart book actually but to be really be truly appreciated by people who have a bit of intellect and sophistication is a little basis in metaphysics helps you really appreciate this I highly recommend this book is both magical and fanciful it has a great sense of humor veiled but great. I very highly recommend this book

Imaginative writing
Humorous. It will appeal especially to anyone who has an interest.in the occult. Wilson is extremely knowledgeable about the Western Esoteric Tradition, and it shows in this book..

Shows so much as what is going on
Shows so much as what is going on. i.e. Like the Tea Party. "The Revolution will not be Televised". The Cole Brothers own all the stations.

RAW is genius.
This is absolutely as good as Illuminatus and Schrodinger's Cat, but not as long. I just read this for the first time and I have no doubt that I will be rereading it for the rest of my life, finding it brand new every time.

If It Hadn't Been For Those Meddling Genii..........
.......big al might have gotten away with it. but he wilt anyway! for Holmes and Watson read Einstein and Joyce as they seek to solve the mystery of the beast who stalks and terrifies the secret society initiate, Sir John Babcock, who's initiation has been mentally over arduous over a number of years. from the shores of loch ness to a rathskeller in switzerland via greystoke manor, the mystery deepens as it tramples a path through the expected, and ultimately drops everything at the doorstep of our illuminated detectives. deliberately? whom knows!as a Wilson initiate of about a year myself, i am randomly going through his canon, but coincidentally (there are no coincidences! fnord!) they have been running seamlessly into each other. ('illuminatus', 'schrodinger's cat', this, then 'cosmic trigger'). my route here was through the brilliant John Higgs, and i would say i wish i'd got here sooner, but hey, i'm here now!

Another RAW story
Harkens back to the 'Historical Illuminatus Chronicles', with the hero another member of the Babcock family who takes up occultism and the Rosicrucians and becomes embroiled in one of the strangest murder-mystery scenarios. The resolution is a bit pat, and the touch of Aleister Crowley, Albert Einstein, James Joyce and Ezra Pound as characters is a bit strange, but it's in the same vein as 'The Earth Will Shake', awash with strange predictions, ghastly conspiracies and mystical drugs and sex, and worthwhile reading for any fans of RAW
