Fjallraven Men's Sarek Trekking Jacket

I bought this looking for a travel jacket that could handle a reasonable amount of weather. This jacket did not disappoint. On my most recent trip i visited Michoacan in Mexico for dia de muertos. I was up all night and with this and a flannel shirt underneath i was able to stay relatively warm. Even though I didn't wax it when we got caught by an unexpected downpour, the jacket kept me dry.Fit is great. Nice and loose great for layering. Though there are some drawstrings you can tighten for a slimmer fit. Looking forward to years of travel with this piece.

This is a decent jacket but has some quirky issues.It has no hand/side pockets, only the deep front pockets.It has a wire sewed into the hood edge, which makes it easy to shape against either rainy or windy conditions. This creates a deeper hood than most rain jackets. It also helps it hang down your back better in clear conditions.It WILL naturally lose it's waterproofing after a year or so. Make sure you get some G-1000 wax and know how to use it.

This jacket designed to fit bit large as normal city jackets besause in outdoor jacket you need more space to wear some warm layer under. But it fits not so large as fjallraven smock (even XS fits larger) jacket #68. Sleeves also ok, not as in skogso jacket.

I have owned several Fjallraven pieces over the years and loved them. Needing a parka, I was excited to see the Sarek Trekking Jacket on deep discount. When it arrived, I could see why it was discounted. The collar and hood design are inexplicably bad. The hood is oversized to the point of looking clownish. The collar, which is integrated with the hood, thus spreads so wide and stands so tall that when zipped all the way up, the collar stands higher than one's chin. It's a shame, too, because the rest of the jacket is so well done. Oh, well.

Well made, but sizing is a challenge and the colour is too green be called "dark navy".

Made by a company that truly understands outdoor activities. Function has always been very good but now also the look. Not for the extremers but for the people that spend large amounts of time outdoors and take the time to enjoy the scenery.

Super Jacke!Habe die Jacke heute erhalten und der erste Eindruck ist bisher echt top.Ich habe jedoch mit dem Material G-1000 von Fjällräven bisher nur gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Es ist robust und angenehm zu tragen, das Wachs, welches zur Imprägnierung dient, tut seinen Dienst und die Imprägnierung lässt sich mit etwas Geschick auch wieder recht kostengünstig auffrischen.An der Jacke selbst gefällt mir die Aufteilung der Taschen, gerade die Brusttaschen sind gelungen, da sie unterteilt und sehr geräumig sind, so lässt sich auch beim Tragen eines Trekkingrucksacks mit breitem Bauchgurt genügend Kleinkram oder Kartenmaterial in der Jacke unterbringen.Die Kapuze lässt sich optimal anpassen, sodass sie gut anliegt und die Sicht kaum einschränkt.Allein der Preis schreckt etwas ab, da ich jedoch mit der Haltbarkeit von Fjällrävenprodukten nur positive Erfahrungen gemacht habe, denke ich, dass sich die Anschaffung auf lange Sicht rechnet.

Ich habe Größe M für meinen Mann bestellt. Jacke ist ziemlich groß. Wenn Sie zwischen 2 Größen sind, können Sie kleiner bestellen.Qualität ist super gut.
