Love it
Ok, I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. I think maybe if you are expecting this to perform for a class on watercolors or to perform like student grade art paper, then yes you might get disappointed (I wouldn’t use it for landscapes where you’re doing large washes of water, it will buckle. Guessing this is around 90-100lb weight). Or if you want this to be the only paper you use as a beginner, one might outgrow it quickly when you want to learn techniques that are a little more rigorous with layers or wet on wet (anything water heavy).Where this paper shines:1) Great value. Am a mom of 2 under 5yo and they both love to paint. Considering I’ve spent 5$ on a pack of construction paper with less sheets than this bundle, it is a no brainer. Even the packs of Crayola watercolor pads aren’t that appealing, we do a lot of arts and crafts and with two kids, the cost adds up. My children loved working on this. Even I painted on it and find it to be great practice paper, cost effective enough that I am not obsessing over everything being perfect to avoid ruining expensive paper. It actually is very freeing and makes the process fun, so I highly recommend it for warm up exercises and keeping beside your “final piece” when you’re painting on the finer stuff (then you can dab your color mixes to check if it’s the right shade, practice trees, dry off your brush, or anything else). I can’t live without back up paper beside my Painting!2) Great for young painters. My kids are little and feel “fancy” painting on this. It holds their attention longer than when we paint on scrap copy paper. Any paper is fine but the crafts come out better when we use something slightly thicker than printer paper. Everything else they use (markers, acrylic, etc) works fine too so it’s become our go to paper for arts & crafts at home.3) Great practice paper for a grown up. If you are new to the hobby and comparison shop for watercolor paper, especially like Top of the line Arches or Middle of the road Canson ($10 for 30 sheets, 140lb, 9x12) pads, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal than this one here. I wouldn’t let this be the only paper you use (that’s part of learning watercolor is exploring the materials), but it is a great companion besides Strathmore or other more traditional art store brands. Testing your color mixes or doing figure studies? This was great. If you find it frustrating to use, totally okay! Different styles of painting/paper will work for different people. Honestly this is far and away a great value for our family and I laugh that I got it “for the kids”..ended up using it just as much. Have applied generic kids watercolor on it, my “fancy” artist mijello paints, Sharpie, micron fineliner, gouache, acrylic (not in huge amounts) and it was a lot of fun. It does pill up if you want to scrub away mistakes, so it’s great for drawing where you’re being spontaneous and committing to your strokes. Erasing pencil was fine.Grateful for the option! Good value, moderate thickness (a little softer than cardstock), ideal for youth painters and grown ups to use for studies or quick sketches. I used the smooth side, I’m not sure which was meant to be the “good side” but the kids paint on either!

Not as advertised but can adapt to use it for collage.
I will state that I love the little dot texture on one side of the paper and the smooth side is also usable. BUT, it is NOT as advertised, unfortunately. It is almost as thin as computer printer paper. I tried using Daniel Smith watercolors and they look lovely, but buckle and warp the paper and will take quite awhile to dry if you want to do another layer. I used masking fluid and it does not come off cleanly, but leaves residue. PILLS: terribly. It pills up with any sort of friction from taking off masking tape or washi tape, as well as trying to lift color. Markers also tear up the paper with any kind of friction, but making one line and leaving it is fine. Because the paper takes longer than I am used to to dry, the markers will bleed into one another. So I don't think it would be great for kids. I did see some reviews that warned against the paper. It is an inexpensive purchase so I won't seek a refund. But I wanted to give a detailed review to help others decide. I think I will use it for collage paper for painting my own pages to cut up and then glue down. It buckles with water. Colored pencils aren't too bad on it, but again, the paper is so thin, that pencil pressure leaves indents when drawing on either side of the paper. A light touch is required for any medium on this paper. I'll leave this with a positive note: it is acid-free. I tested it with a ph pen. So it won't yellow. If you, like me, don't mind adapting cheaper supplies for mixed media projects or to make cards for family and friends, then the ten bucks is well spent for 120 sheets. Sellers: please change your description of the product. It is not accurate.

What a good deal!
Love this paper, 100% cotton at this price?! I just bought some inexpensive but good quality student watercolors (for less then the cost of an empty tin) Swashed them on one side and turned it over and did a step- by- step 'paint along' on the other. I put several layers down, lifted some paint off, scrubbed a little... taping it down and pressing it helps with the warping but it will need to be pressed. There was no bleeding and I am overall very happy, as I said I painted on both sides of the paper. I think this paper will be perfect for sketch books and that is what I am planning to do with it. Obviously i need to practice and this paper is perfect. At 10.99 it was 9¢ a sheet... when the price dropped I bought more to stock up as it is such a good deal.

Best for practicing water color painting and great use for kids
This is the best priced water color sheets on amazon, I no longer have to give A4 Sheets to my daughter for practice.Pros:You get lot of them, you can practice forever :)Water absorbency is good doesn't dripDrys at normal rateEasy to erase , better than the costlier water color sheets I boughtColors pop out wellCons:paper is thin compared to usual sheets you buy. this is not at all a deal breaker as you get so many of these you can keep practicing. One last thing if you want to frame your work this is probably not what you should buy. I bought them for my own practice and for my daughter coloring projects so I got no issues with it.

Great for beginners
I loved the value for the money. It has an interesting texture- like polka dots, but I found that it did great with watercolors and I didn’t mind sharing with all the kids since it wasn’t terribly expensive.

perfect size
I bought this paper for my grandchildren so they could use watercolor paints in a more professional way, They loved that the paper didn't fall apart and the paint didn't puddle on the page. The size was perfect for smaller projects.

Not as advertised. Dont buy this
Very thin paper. It is definitely NOT watercolour paper. Do not be fooled into buying this thinking it is watercolour paper. Waste of money. I gave it 1 star rating because it is not truthful advertising. Thinner than school drawing block paper.
