Buyers Guide after much research and mistakes.:Pros: Holds up in 25 mph wind gusts at a football game without turning inside out. Was concerned that it had only 8 ribs but seem to be strong enough. The slip on cover does fit (barely) not unlike other umbrellas. Liked that they listed them by size like 42" arc or 46" arc (approx 42" diam) Buy the 46" it covers your body in a rain. . Very few manufactures list the size of their travel umbrellas. They need to tell you or look to someone else. It takes 3 seats to cover 2 ea 46" umbrellas for sun or rain protection in older stadiums. Most manufacturers of travel umbrellas will sell you a 42" arc. but don't tell you. We are thinking about buying a 54" arc to cover 2 of us at football games for small seat stadiums. We use ours for sun protection at football games. It hardly ever rains and if it does it is probably lightening so no game. Auto open-close works great. Price was right when we bought 2 as a package deal (less than $20 each + tax) . Note. This review was for 2 football games. One was very windy. One was very sunny.Cons: No unsafe golf umbrella spear sticking out the top for football games. Always wish the handles were longer but then it wouldn't be a travel umbrella. The umbrella is sewn to the ribs with I think lightweight string which will eventually break. Wish it had more ribs like some 9 and 10 ribs that are advertised by others but they don't seem to do much better (design?) in the wind according to reviews.

This umbrella works very well. I like that you push the button both to open and to close it. It folds differently than most umbrellas, and I believe that is part of the reason for its sturdiness in a stiff wind. It is nicely compact when closed. We actually bought four, and they have all worked beautifully!

In terms of quality, after only about a month, the strap of the umbrella broke. Maybe I got a defective umbrella, but customer service was great and I got a replacement. I have yet to see if the quality of the replacement umbrella will hold up so fingers crossed.Other than the strap issue, the umbrella seems sturdy, but I haven't tried the windproof part. I prefer manually closing my umbrella as opposed to using a button to close it and don't know why it's preferred. It shoots water everywhere when you press the button to close the umbrella (so you get extra wet in the process if you're not careful) and because of all the mechanics involved, it takes more force to have to push the umbrella down to its original position.

Already love the beautiful colors in the umbrella. Opened as expected, fit in my purse. Hope to get years of use out of it.

I live in Florida so it rains a lot and the wind can be pretty intense. I have yet to have the umbrella break. It feels really sturdy and I love how it opens up automatically for you and also closes for you as well when you press the button.

I've had two of these umbrellas for over two years. I like the design so that the water drops remain in the umbrella, and not in your car, etc. when coming in from the rain. The materials seem to be of good quality. After two years, one of the mechanisms in the handle failed, and the umbrella wouldn't retract. The warranty replacement was quick and easy. Great after the sale customer service.They will have any future umbrella business of mine.

I used to Tote a new compact large-canopy umbrella from a major umbrella manufacturer, but I had to replace it every year. On the umbrellas I used to buy, ribs would break or twist, and holes would appear in the fabric. The Lanbrella's strong but flexible frame appears to be better quality than the national brand and the canopy cloth appears to be thicker. I've used it one season so far and it has held up well. The inverted design has a couple of minor drawbacks - it's a little fussier to fold neatly, and the outside of the umbrella can get wet when you carry it folded without the slip cover and it begins to rain. When you open up the inverted umbrella, this part is now on the inside, and wet. However, these are minor quibbles for an umbrella that's made better than other similar umbrellas I've owned. Overall, I'm very pleased with it.**Update** One year in and it's holding up very well. Pleased with the quality.**April 2023 Update** About three years and still in perfect condition - much more durable that similar umbrellas I've had from the best-known umbrella manufacturer, which I had to replace every year when a rib broke or the canopy developed a small hole. The only problem I've encountered is when I leave it at a host stand - often, someone tries to take my Lanbrella and leave me their cheap umbrella.

This is a great umbrella!! I was given one as a gift and fell in love after a trip to Boston where it rained quite a bit. The umbrella is well made, packs easily and works beautifully. I bought this one as gift for someone who wanted a good umbrella. It will be the only umbrella you will ever need as long as you take care of it!

The unbrella wouldn't close. While trying to close it, it broke completely. Now it's neither opening not closing. This is as soon as I opened the package, I haven't even used it once. Do not buy it at all.

I recently purchased this umbrella with high hopes based on the reviews I read. After receiving it, I was initially pleased with its appearance and design. However, to my dismay, it broke after just one use. I had expected a product of higher durability and quality, especially given its price point. It's frustrating to invest in a product and have it fail so quickly. While others might have had positive experiences, mine was quite the opposite. I'd advise potential buyers to consider other options or be prepared for the possibility of a similar experience.

The description of item is misleading. The size is smaller than mentioned. Quality is poor. There is no double canopy as written in description. It is described as having inverted folding design. That is not true. Returned the item.
