Works fine but does not charge Iphone
Works as it should in my boat with my Jensen Marine unit. It does not however charge my iphone but it does charge my regular Ipods. The cost is a little steep for a cable but its inline with what others charge for their cables. Happy with my purchase. Would have provided 5 stars if it charged my iphone too.

This cable enables me to control my iPod while it is safely stored away from the outdoor elements.This cable and the Jensen Marine MSR2107 Waterproof Stereo with Full iPod Controls is the best purchase I have made for my boat I have full control of my iPod with this cable and all the info is on my radio's display. I did not want a CD player because that technology is old. I have every CD I own on my iPod or my computer. I just plug this cable into my iPod and the above stereo and I have hours and hours of music at my finger tips. No CDs to switch out or worry about storing.

Know what you are buying!
I bought 2 other jenson cables before I ended up with the right connector. Make sure you know what you are buying. Works like the cable should. Its VERY long, cumbersome but better than being too short! The Ipod connector comes with a little cover... USE IT dont lose it! I kept mine underneath my console and it still rusted a little.. plugged my phone in and fried my iPhone!!! Protect it when not using it. Does NOT charge iphone. Would be nice to see it in an iPhone 5 configuration.

Does the job
Love the hard wire connection to the boat radio. I just leave the ipod on the boat all the time now and dont have to think twice about it being charged, etc.

Reason for three stars i have a Jensen marine radio with ipod/noaa/sirus/cd combo, the interface cable for ipod does not plug in to he ipod connector but instead to the Sirus satellite radio connector. what's up with that.

Not for newer Jensen radios
Needed an iPod cable for JRV212T radio in new RV. I had used JIPDCBL12 cable in 2008 RV, and it worked ok there.Found out after I received the cable that the connector does not mate to the JRV212T radio. There is nothing in the Jensen manual to describe the cable needed, only "Jensen iPod ready cable" and "Optional iPod adapter".I called Jensen tech support and learned that the cable needed since 2009 is JDABIPDLR, due to iPod interface requirements. Had to return JIPDCBL12 at my expense, since there was nothing wrong with it.

Doesn't work with JRV212T
On the Jensen JRV212T page here on Amazon, it says this is the cable needed to hook up your ipod/iphone. This is FALSE. You actually need the JDABIPDL. Hope this saves some other people the headache...
