When I was looking for a product - black thread for sock darning - in the Amazon search engine, I expected to have a list come up that was EXACTLY that. I should have suspected a flaw in the search engine's algorithms when a variety of different coloured threads appeared for my perusal. So who is at fault here? Not Gutterman's - although the photos of the product do not give a true indication of the thickness and strength of the thread. It was only when I read all of the available detail on the product that I realised that nowhere was mentioned that it was suitable for darning socks. If that was the case, who was responsible for presenting it as a product "fit for purpose". I know who the obvious culprit is but if I mention them, it is unlikely that this review will be published - a lesson learned the hard way for me !!
