This works better than most other cables. Come to find out my Netgear Nighthawk CM2050V cable modem ethernet port is very finicky and most cables I use on it just don't work, but this cable does. The CM2050V must have a poor driver on its ethernet adapter. It will run at 2.5Gbps but it will not even run at 1 Gbps with most cables longer than 3 ft.. Most cables just fail to establish connection between the cable modem and a router or PC. Some 3 ft. cables work but most cables longer than that just do not work. I found one brand of Cat 6 with a 7 ft length that worked but the only cable longer than that that worked at all so far that I have tried is this Glanics Cat 8 25 ft cable. It is well made and it works.

As of Oct 15 2020, o far so good, just got today. Ran before & after tests using fast.com speeds. posted screengrabs. My old ethernet cable was at least 10 years old/dark gray so no idea if cat5 or what. can't see any writing on it anymore. I do wish I had gotten a 30 to 40ft instead of 25ft cable to give a little more room. had to rearrange router location by at least 8 feet so I miscalculated what I originally had (misplaced tape measure). The 25ft was the greater deal for only $11 on prime day / 35% off. info overload Anyway, so glad they included cable clips to tap into wall etc. nice little extra. will update if I have any later thoughts or issues. * if I'm figuring correctly. ...I now live in the boonies & have lost my math skills...and mind maybe. We can only get up to 30mbs on cable modem -- we're lucky to have this!!! (used to be 3mbs DSL, then 10mbs DSL and before that dial up over the past 15 years -- USA rural broadband is a travesty -- but hey, y'all keep voting for those redstate pull yourself up by the bootstrap goodole boys&girls supremacists pwned by the lobbyists & fanatics who have & who are well-entrained Pavlovian dawgs & who think yer such fools & dupes behind closed doors ....yep, doin' so much (not) for poor and working families of ammurrica. but I digress. So far, after 45 minutes, I'm great with this cable. And of course a prime deal and prime delivery. Thx AMZ. P.S. It is made in China for those who wish we could get American made with high quality and only slightly higher prices. And: How would I know if this is truly CAT8 w/ all the specs it claims ? (rhetorical question mostly). I depend on AMZ and other testers to do quality control -- and product audits. (wishful thinking). Review of previous purchases shows my old gray cable was cat7 40 ft.

It’s great for the price and the newest technology. Although slightly thick, not too terrible. I can notice a higher performance than my CAT 5E.

Modem to router

I don't know what standard network cables are held to, just ordered this for home. Bought 3 of them and they all work fine. Ends weren't messed up in any way and cables pretty much do what they're supposed to do.

Good quality cable, does as intended. Glanics was a pleasure to deal with. At first there was a misprint in the description, Glanics reached out to me immediately to rectify the error before I even knew of a problem. Very fast communication, would definitely buy from again.

This replaced a Cat 5e cable that was suspected of network drops. Ended up getting a new modem and router that could benefit from this quality Cat 8 cable. My wifi 6 devices connect at 1200 mbps and network speed tests at 510 on 400mb plan. Thanks for a quality product.
