Useful, but not for dermals!
Initially I purchased this product to be able to switch out my facial dermal tops. I'd rather save $5 to attempt to do it myself than to go ask my piercer. So, I was super excited when I found these! Sadly, I would not recommend these to anyone with dermals of any kind! It is super tricky to place them, painful if you aren't careful and it can get messy. It was a horror story for me trying to use them on my dermals. I was going to return them and get a refund, but I have several other piercings that are tricky to switch out, so I decided to try these to help-- which was a GREAT idea. They are a huge help with piercings such as nipple piercings, tragus piercings and any cartilage piercings. My fingers are too big so it's super hard to change those out but with these bad boys, it's super easy! I give this product 5 stars because even though I couldn't use it for it's intended purpose, I found another way to make them useful. Thanks!

Tool works great but for back dermals you’ll need help with it.
So this product got 5 stars as it is exactly what it says it is as well as will get the job done every Piercer I have went to change my dermals uses this product and if they don’t then they are not changing my dermals. I don’t recommend buying this for back dermals unless you’re gonna have someone help you and once I had already bought this item and tried it I watched some videos and realized since I had not changed my them since they had been put in over a year ago and we’re on pretty tight I would be unable to hold this product straight so it didn’t pull on my post as well as use pliers to turn the top that I was trying to get off. So I went to the local Tattoo shop and asked them to change it, took my tool with me just in case she didn’t have one (she had a whole drawer full) when she used this tool compared to a previous piercer the dermal did not hurt or pull at all while being changed. For other dermals besides the back I definitely recommend this tool and remember if you go to a Your sister to get your dermal changed then asked them to only put it on Twitter finger to get your dermal changed then asked them to only put it on finger tight so you’re able to change it at home the next time you choose. Keep in mind if you do that you will need to check and make they are tight more often. But this makes it so next time you can use this tool and change them yourself without any issues. Hope this helps.

I misused the tool
I purchased this tool after I watched a video from a web site. The video made it look wonderfully simple. It was not for me. It is supposed to hold onto the anchor to hold it in place. My piercing is high on my cheek bone and the anchor is flush with my skin. It ended up clamping onto the tops screw point preventing it from moving. I finally got it off after 30min.Also in the video they show the woman just screwing in the jewel top. After buying this clamp and jewel top I had to go to the tattoo shop to have them put a top back on. I had to pay them to do it and I had to purchase their jewels. I was told by the man changing it that even he can't change the dermal tops on his face on his own. I imagine this would be good for some but I feel like I was deceived by the video. From now on I will only have the tattooist change mine.I have since gone to another tatoo store to choose a different top.She used this exact tool.I'm sorry I was wrong. It doesn't hold the anchor. It clips to the top so it can be easily unscrewed. It took all of three sceonds. She also showed me how to use it.I now use it to tighten the top.I still dont think I could hold on to such a tiny top but atleast now I can tighten it.She also removed the top of her dermal on her face right there to show me how simple it is.I apoligize for witting a bad review on a product without understanding its proper use

Does the job
The hole part of the blade didn’t hold my 16g labret but I had enough space to use the thicker part of the tip to hold the bar in place to twist off the top.

YOU NeeD to GeT THESE
This is a must have if you have microdermals/dermals!!! This tool did a better job of helping me change my tops than my piercer did at their shop with their tools. Last time I wanted my tops changed after the piercings had been repierced, I had my piercer do it. . . She not only made it hurt, it seemed not very fast, and the piercings were seriously aggravated and messed up as a result, for far too long. This tool made the job fast, painless, free of blood/redness/swelling, and was so easy to use. I have three very old dermals btw, all on my chest in hard to see areas...well they are hard to see when I change them anyways, since I have glasses and can only bend my head and neck back so far to get a good view of the post while laying down. I'd highly recommend these to anyone that has dermals, so sad I didn't order these sooner. Too many days wasted attempting to grasp the posts carefully and the tops with needle nose jewelry pliers, after soaking forever.

Terrible
These are too thin and the "scissor" action makes the ends slide over each other. On top of the fact that the company double charged me. I ordered one instantly cancelled it. Then THEY reordered it and charged me for a second on i DID NOT ORDER.

If you have a dermal implant, please check this out!
I bought a previous micro dermal clamp and it was significantly thicker than I thought it would be. It worked, but was uncomfortable. I bought this one because with the name "world's thinnest", I was very curious if it would be more comfortable.OMG! It's way thinner than my previous clamp, and it makes changing my dermal much easier and significantly more comfortable. Thank you for having such a great product! I am still keeping my old one, just in case, but I am very sold over this new one.
