Sony ICFC1PJ Alarm Clock Radio,Black

My last alarm clock was an iLuv, which I'm not really sure if I did, but it's no matter as it met its demise one night when I tipped over a full glass of water on it. (Note: iLuvs are not water resistant.) So back to the alarm clock drawing board. I knew I didn't want one with a specific iPhone charging plug, since who knows if they will change everything again in a couple years. I knew I wanted one with an AM/FM radio and dual alarms, and I knew I didn't want to spend more than $35. So two out of three, but it was worth the money.I really love this clock. It has everything I want and need:- Dual alarms, that you can set to wake for weekday/weekend/every day- AM/FM radio (a lot of the newer alarm clock don't have radio anymore!)- Time display that is a nice calm color and large enough without being ginormous- USB port so you can plug in/charge any device- Alarm time display- Cool nature sounds (that really sound like the thing they are supposed to)Plus, it can project the time onto your wall or ceiling. This was not a big selling feature to me, but it turns out that my husband, who hasn't used an alarm clock in years, thinks this is the greatest thing ever. You can move the time projected by turning the wheel on the side to change the position, or by pushing the small button on the back of the unit to rotate it in 90 degree increments. It will tell you not only the time, but which alarm is set. I only wish the time projected was a nice bluish color like the display instead of red, but that is my only tiny complaint.It looks very sleek and modern (so long as you don't mind it's Borgian feel - red laser and all). And it's small -- only about 5 inches cubed, or so. It keeps time so far perfectly (as my past Sony alarm clocks always have), unlike the iHome, which loses minutes by the month.Basically, best alarm clock ever.

Great Alarm clock!! The first clock Amazon sent me was dead on arrival, nothing would work. So I requested an exchange and wow!! That went so much smoother than I expected. I got the new clock just a day later.I wanted an alarm clock that was smaller than my current clock and would project the time onto a ceiling or a wall. After researching all the options, I settled on this and I am not disappointed. The nature sounds, the ceiling projector, the USB port, and the duel alarms are all nice extras. The radio works and sounds great. The time was already set when it arrived, so I didn't have to do anything but plug it in. One of the best features of this clock is the display can be dimmed (3 levels) or switched completely off...No bright LEDs to keep you awake. The time projected onto the ceiling or wall is red and not bright enough to bother me. But I can see and read the time just fine. The nature sounds work good, but the rain sound could be a little more realistic. The USB port is for charging a phone or tablet only. It does not allow you to play your music over the speakers. In fact, the inability to play music over the radio is the only drawback of this fine clock. But they never advertised you could. The only other complaint I might have is the buzzer alarm starts off a bit too soft, then if no action is taken the volume ascends. I wish it were louder, but so far it has not failed to wake me. I do suggest you read all the instructions carefully. Several of the buttons have duel functions and it took me about 20 minutes to learn to use it properly.Again, a great little Clock radio, you will like it.

This alarm clock radio's functionality is a little different then what most of us are use to in a normal alarm clock. It takes a little getting use to in terms of what each button and function it performs. Once you get use to the functionality of it is when you begin to enjoy this alarm clock radio. Just setting the alarm takes some time to get use to. Other than that it's a nice size product that does not take up a lot of space. The time projector is great. You can adjust and swivel it as you prefer onto a ceiling or wall. The white noise features are nice for when you want to relax and set it at sleep up to 90 or 60 minutes. It comes with 2 wired antennas for AM and FM. The reception is not bad but it could be better. The display can be dimmed or off in order to keep your room as dark as possible when you sleep. I think it's a little pricy compared to other alarm clock radios but I guess the price reflects the white noise feature and the SONY name. I give it 4 instead of 5 cause I think they could of made it a little more user friendly.****Update*****After a few months this product no longer works. It's plugged in but there is no function. I unplugged it and then plugged it back a few hours later and it came back on. I figured it was okay and that it was just a fluke thing. The next day it did the same thing. No display, no nothing. It was just dead. I unplugged it again and then plugged it back later that night and bamm it's back on. The next day back off again. Very quite strange. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. This is a very cool alarm clock radio when it works. Very bummed out about it.

Excelente reloj, cumple a la perfección con todo lo que indica, muy buena proyección, muchas posibilidades para rotar, girar y enfocar la proyección, la luz del reloj principal se puede cambiar de intensidad de brillo o hasta apagarla y solo mantener la proyección. Muy buen diseño y buena calidad, buenas opciones de alarmas y sonidos naturales, así como proteger la configuración en caso de perdida de luz en tu hogar.El único inconveniente que identifico es que se apaga la proyección automáticamente después de 16 horas (de acuerdo al manual), pero es suficiente tiempo para utilizarlo de noche y encenderlo nuevamente.

Hard to find a decent little alarm clock these days at a reasonable price without breaking the bank. Sony actually has something here. Very simple to use and setup. The sound of the alarm and radio are quite good surprisingly, and the soft wake to gradually getting louder is a very good feature for those who don't need that heart attack style wake up. I didn't think that the projection part of the radio would come in handy at all, but actually it is pretty cool. It is not on all the time, so if you like the lazy feature of not turning your head towards the clock to see the time and wish to only open your eyes and look up to the ceiling, then this feature is for you and apparently for me as well. It's a solid buy for me
