awesome!
It's been about 5 years or so since I've had the opportunity to treat myself with a nice upgraded radio. I searched around before making my purchase, but I've always liked the pioneers best. I've had the avicn1-3 and loved them, but I wasn't in the market to spend that much this time, and the navigation on my cell phone does the job just fine. I got this radio for almost half the price on amazon vs mobile one, and got it installed along with a backup camera for only $80! Couldn't be happier

It has everything I have always wanted for a headunit for my truck. I do not like the fact that you have to get the all motion bypass sensor just to watch something on screen. Other than that it is amazing and will seriously bring joy to whoever is listening.

Pioneer - you should be ashamed.
Before we get into this, the only reason I purchased this model instead of a head unit with Navagation is that Pioneer ads show people using their android devices with google maps and other similar applications. Pioneer has several videos which convinced me to replace my factory Bluetooth Rockford Fosgate.*** What I don't like about it ***It will not connect to a Samsung Galaxy S5, or Galaxy S4, or a Galaxy Note 8, via AppRadio. Pioneer said it would but it won't. It will not connect to any android device I own via mirror either. Pioneer said it would but it won't. Check the apps store as that list still (06/26/2015) says that it will work with the S4, S5, and Note 8. Regardless of what Pioneer says, it won't.The unit wants to transfer your phone book every single time you start the vehicle, and transferring the phonebook takes just under 1 week). Okay, it doesn't take a week but it takes long damn time. You see why they do this when I get to AppRadioLive.Pioneer wants to make sure you're safe so most of the functionality is disabled unless you wire up a parking brake wire and apply the brake. Which really doesn't seem that safe if you're heading north on the I-17 in the middle of the day. Thanks loads Pioneer, turns out there are dozens of YouTube videos on by-passing this non-sense.If you value your privacy, then you'll be fuming by they time you finish reading the AppRadioLive user agreement. Basically it says that you should have no expectation to privacy, they are going to download your address book and sellit or give it anyone they do business with. So maybe you're ok with that. The next thing that I hate is that AppRadioLive requires another app called carkeys which will collect your credit card information every time you enter it. Seriously, just because I bought a radio from Pioneer shouldn't mean they own me. Pioneer, you should be ashamed!*** What I like about it ***It comes in a very colorful box! That box is about as good a box as you'll find these days. You can set the display to lots of pretty colors! Once the phone book has transferred, it works almost as good as your phone does without the AVH-X4700-BS. The phone's voice responses can be heard through the vehicle speakers. This unit will fill the 2 DIN hole in your dash nearly completely! The sound is...well its quite adequate. You can play Pandora radio right from your Bluetooth connected smart phone. And seriously, that part works flawlessly. So long as you aren't expecting much beyond the hole being filled with something that lights up you might not be too disappointed in this unit. If you are an apple user, you might even enjoy owning this unit. If not then this little gem may still bring a smile to your face if you own a 45ACP, 357Magnum or similar device and have the opportunity to extensively modify the unit's case. $400 is a bit pricey for this type of fun but I must admit I'm tempted. If it had performed as advertise, it would be exactly what I wanted. Instead of purchasing this unit, you might consider just getting rolled by a mugger. At least the outcome should more closely match your expectations. By the way, Pioneer tells me that the BS stands for Bluetooth and Sirius which really surprised me because I was sure I knew what BS stood for, especially in this case. Pioneer - you should be ashamed.

So far so good, very attractive with a slick interface. Works great with an Iphone 5s.
I've only had the deck for a few weeks and I'm still tinkering with settings so I can't write too comprehensive of a review but so far I really like it. It was really easy to install, good instructions, quality components. It looks really great in my car (2007 Ford Edge) which is one of the orange ones and I am able to customize the color-scheme to make it match. It has a USB input and comes with a USB extension cable so you can hook up a Iphone cable (I'm using an Iphone 5s with a Lightning cable), works great. The bluetooth works well but it really shines when you plug the phone in. Very nice, attractive, easy to use interface with a nice touchscreen. I'm not an audiophile or anything, I mostly wanted a big screen that would be easy to see and use, but the deck sounds really nice to a non-expert like me, even though I've yet to install anything better than my factory speakers (which sounded terrible with the stock deck). I'm reluctant to give it 5 stars at this point since I've had it such a short time, but if it continues to work as well as it has been I'm sure it'll be a 5 star product for me.

Beautiful design just operating wise not as much
Beautiful design just operating wise not as much. For auto connect it connects and plays but after about 3 sec it pauses and you'd have to press play. Also, with the aux cable, for some odd reason won't draw sound from my subwoofers. Sad sad story. Sounds great otherwise.

Highly Recommend!! Worth every dollar
It's a great stereo I was very impressed with it. It fit perfect in my 05 f150. The Bluetooth works great. Everything I wanted the buttons change colors it's cool you can change the theme of different things. It's amazing recommend to anyone looking for a good stereo.

Works great, Does everything I needed it to do besides Carplay. But, I did install the Micro Bypass, so I could watch videos while driving. I know. It's not safe. But, awesome deck. I have been having problems trying to update the head unit to the newest firmware.

This is a good unit with a lot of sound mixing options for the price. If you are looking to buy a pioneer deck you are better served to pay a little more for this unit than one of the cheaper options.
