This is an orange, medium-thick gel that smells strongly of oranges, and includes both orange oil and orange extract. If you don't like oranges (I think they are...fine), this is NOT the serum for you! If you do like oranges, it is a nice serum that spreads well and absorbs quickly and completely (no tacky feeling). The strong orange scent (mercifully) dissipates fairly fast without lingering too much. I didn't notice any exfoliation effect until I'd used it for several days straight, and even then it was very mild (at least it did not irritate my skin), so its efficacy probably depends a lot on your skin type and condition. The product listing says it is made in the US but the only mention on the bottle itself is that it is distributed out of San Francisco.

Just a little bit on your ring finger, and rub it in. That's what the instructions say, right? It's actually true with this serum. It's slippery at first, but that makes it easy to apply that small amount to a much larger area than you'd expect! After a few weeks of using this regularly, this middle-aged man can already see the difference. The orange scent is what really makes this a great product, in my opinion. It's pleasant without being perfume-y, and the citrus is really invigorating. I've gotten into the habit of using it in the mornings, because the scent is too energizing for a nighttime moisturizing routine.

I got this for my wife, in an attempt to wean her from her expensive Strivectin habit. She reports that this was an acceptable substitute, but that the moisturizing effect didn't last all day like Strivectin does. Honestly, I cannot spot any difference, as both make her skin look healthy to me. This one did have a pretty strong orange smell, and neither of us were huge fans, but we dealt with it. If it were up to me (which it isn't), she'd keep rolling with Sapo, as it's far cheaper than Strivectin, and as mentioned, I cannot tell the difference in looking at or touching her skin.
