Love my carafe.

See Update. Great compact size drip coffee maker. Very easy to fill and use. Nice quality. Carafe is clearly marked (on both sides for you left handers) for how many servings you want to make. Five is maximum, which is approximately 30 liquid ounces. No drip when you remove carafe, easy pouring, good handle. Carafe lid is removable for cleaning. Brews coffee very fast. Decided to use paper filters just for ease in cleanup, but it does have a nice gold permanent filter included. There is a tiny bit of moisture left on the compartment lid after brewing, but I just blot it with a paper towel then leave the lid partially open for it to dry between uses. The following are worth mentioning, but not worth lowering review: the carafe seems a little delicate, there is a bit of a plastic taste at first, and the unit makes a warm spot on my countertop. Excellent choice for design and function. UPDATE: After four months of waiting for the plastic taste to fully dissipate, I gave up and purchased another brand coffee pot. I really liked this, but can no longer put up with the plastic taste of my coffee every morning. Because of that I would now lower my review to three stars.

This little soldier works simply. Day in and day out. For the cost, nothing beats it. I’ve had more expensive “fancy” timed carafes and coffee makers. But this is reliable.Buy two. At the very least, buy extra filters because they get less porous over time.

Our carafe broke and I took a chance on this one. It fits just fine in the old 5-cup Amazon coffee maker (no longer being sold), and had no issues brewing a full pot. Pouring is easy, there were no leaks.I noticed the glass sounds a little more fragile if/when you set it down on a hard surface. Also the measurements are a little different (5 cups of water in the coffee maker showed as 4.5 cups in the carafe), but it is not deal breaking.

Perfect pot for a one or two person household. When the glass carafe on my big coffeemaker broke, I tossed it in favor of this well-designed little pot, which takes up half the space and makes darn good coffee. I am trying to rein in my coffee consumption by using regular cups instead of monster mugs, and filling the Jura to the three cup mark keeps me happily caffeinated for the day. The sleek, compact unit is packed with thoughtful features. The marking are easy to read (even before I've had my morning coffee), the controls are simple and intuitive whether or not you choose to pre-set it; the handle is ergonomically sound and the basket is easy to fill. (It comes with a permanent "gold" basket so you don't need to buy filters unless you choose to.) One small imperfection: the lid, which seems a bit flimsy. But overall, I'm happy.

Perfect Fit.

I did not purchase this carafe as a replacement for the Capresso little coffee maker. I purchased it as a stand alone coffee carafe to use with a Hario coffee dripper. I just like the classic look of this carafe with its good handle. Fits perfectly with Hario 02 glass coffee dripper, the one with plastic handle and curved rest. The marking on the carafe is exact - I fill the carafe to 4 cup level to produce 2 10oz mugs of coffee. So fill to 5 cups would make total of 25 ounces of coffee. I wish the glass were a little thicker, though it is not thinner than a Hario carafe. I was a bit concerned about one review that complained about the plastic smell but I found this product completely free of plastic smell. Just started using so I can not say much about the durability of the product yet.Edit: after 7 months of daily using, this item broke on its own without me knocking it on anything. It happened a couple of days ago when I was pouring hot water into the Hario coffee dripper sitting on top of this carafe. The thin glass just cracked, leaving coffee running all over counter. Quality too poor and I will not buy it again. Changing 5 star to 1.

En remplacement d'une carafe cassée. Convient parfaitement à ma Black & Decker 5 Tasses, sauf le couvercle mais j'avais gardé mon ancien couvercle. Et c'est parfait.

Product came packaged well with no damage.I wanted a replacement carafe for my 5 cup amazon basics drip coffee maker and this works just fine. A tiny bit snug but doesn't catch or leak.Other carafes I found were around 40$ and for the price I bought this one for I am very happy
