Financial Accounting 8th Edition

I took a financial accounting class last semester, and this book was required. At my campus bookstore, it cost about $300, which is insane. Instead of buying, I rented this book for my Kindle for about $50.As another reviewer stated, this rental doesn't come with the WileyPlus access code, which will run you about $95 or so on the Wiley website. I ended up paying $50 for the access code from a private seller on Amazon... just make sure you get the right one for your book. You can check what format access code you need by going to the WileyPlus website, putting in your book info to see what format is required for it. If you can't find a code on Amazon, you can pick it up on Ebay for about the same amount.

Required text for class, so I didn't have much choice but still very useful. The reading is for the most part about as "not-boring" as you can get a text on accounting to be. Does have a great layout and easy to find what you need (especially for an e-book). The only complaint I have is that there are a few transparencies in the real book, and they only have what is on each transparency in this electronic version. This means it doesn't show what's behind it (which is the whole point of a transparency), so I needed to copy+paste those pages into MS Paint and overlap them to properly show how it should look. Huge pain, but this only occurs in a few locations.

Didn't buy this at the beginning of semester since I had online version via wileyplus. But wanted to keep a physical copy of the book and glad I bought it at this time with such a cheap price. I know it's because the new edition is published. But concepts are pretty much the same so why bother spending so much money on new books if it wasn't a school requirement lol

I'm a beginning accounting student, and I have found this textbook to be a great orientation to the key concepts of accounting. Also, if this boom has been assigned as your textbook, then why are you reading this review? After all, you'll be obligated to engage with it.

THIS BOOK DOES NOT COME WITH WILEY PLUS!!! I have tried to cancel the return of a UPS pickup and change the return to dropping off the textbook to return myself and it will not be honored. I am a beyond angry college student who now has over $200 wasted on this text book, and another $150 to buy wiley plus in order to do my homework. I am livid and now broke.

Thank you - This book has really made it easier for me. I do not have to carry the entire bulky book in class. I will just have the previous and current chapter with me. I'm a believe and would look going forward for binder ready edition when available.

Not a terrible read, some great information necessary for class and overall not difficult to understand. Easy to follow and helpful as a guide during class discussions

I normally don't post reviews on products I haven't received yet, but I plan to update this when I receive the book. I just wanted to mention that I ordered this book rather than the newer edition because it is MUCH, MUCH cheaper, and I think it will be nice to have my own textbooks to refer back to later in college. I asked my professor if it were okay for me to get this and he said yes, so I'm pretty sure it's the same as the newer one. Hope this is helpful!
