Great Thai Cookbook!
Now that I've had this book for a couple months, I feel that I can write a better review. I have made several recipes from this book and they have all been delicious. The only thing is that most the recipes are too salty. None of the recipes I've made have even called for salt so I started reading ingredient labels. I found the culprite... it is the fish sauce which comes in at 1480 mg of sodium! So I decided to cut the fish sauce in every recipe by 1/2 which greatly reduced the saltyness and improved the flavor of the recipe.Do I recommend this book anyway? Yes I do! It is a beautifully published book. The pages are decorated with beautiful Thai patterns on the edges. It's obvious that a great deal of thought has been put into the presentation. All the recipes have been very tasty and delicious and there is a wide variety of recipes too. My favs are probably the salmon recipes and I don't even like salmon very much. The recipes are that good! The next is a suggestion for the author. I would love to see the nutritional values for the recipes. As a health minded individual, I track calories and nutrients we consume. Sadly, the nutritional values are not in the book but perhaps they could be added online or to future editions? To wrap it up, if you like Thai food or are bored with your usual recipes, get this book. Just remember to cut the fish sauce in half, you can always add more if you like it saltier. Time to get cooking! 😊

Great Dishes!
The food is excellent. The recipes are easy to follow and with them, there isn't any real need to go to a Thai restaurant as you can be tops with Thai food preparation on your own!

Easy to follow & delicious!
Love this cookbook! The photography is beautiful and the recipes are very easy to follow. The final result is a delicious, healthy meal that looks super impressive. A great book for big dinner parties because you can make a lot of dishes to share and it seems special and exotic. I did adjust a few things for personal taste such as substituting meat (because I'm a vegetarian) and making things spicier than the recipe calls for. But, Katie does a great job suggesting modifications and where to find some of the ingredients that may not be as common in a basic grocery store. Can't go wrong adding this to your cookbook collection.

Great recipes and lots of pictures
This is one of three books I purchased from her, all three are awesome. The recipes are great, lots of variety and almost everyone has a picture which is essential if you’re doing a cookbook. I highly recommend these.

The best book to begin Thai cooking - easy recipes with color photos of the results
I researched Amazon with over 50 titles of Thai cook books and then sifted by standards such as: is the author Asian or not; how many recipes in the book; what are the reviews like; who in the food industry support which books, etc and the result was this. The basic pantry ingredients are given a section all their own and the book is divided re types of ingredients: Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Meats, Seafood, Desserts, etc.We have made over 50 recipes and only one or two were duds to our taste buds. A highly recommended Thai cook book.

Everyday and in Every Way!
I just received my copy of "Everyday Thai Cooking," a couple of days ago. Very excited to add this book to my collection of cookbooks! Katie's Basic Cooking Techniques and Tips are so helpful, and the photographs of the dishes are beautiful. The chapter on Understanding Thai ingedients was informative, and the book contains some Thai Dishes I have been longing to make for myself and guests includiing Glass Noodles with Crab and trying out the Phuket Chicken with Lemongrass Curry. If you love Thai food, the recipes featured are easy to read and follow. THANKS KATIE!

which are useless and boring in my opinion
An OK Thai cookbook. Be aware that the recipes are not fully 'authentic' in the sense that the dishes in this book are different from the dishes you would find at a food stall in Thailand. The book is filled with little anecdotes of the author's short honeymoon trip to Thailand, which are useless and boring in my opinion. The book would be better without them. I gave 3 stars because the dishes are not authentic, but they are very easy to replicate.

i learned how to cook Indian by buying a book and experiment- i wanted to tackle Thai the same way and this is the one i keep using.Great pictures, great recipes and easy to find products also in Europe . The salmon with green curry sauce has quickly become a stable for dinner in our house.

I really don't think "addicting" is a real word?
I was looking for an easy Thai recipe cookbook and I found this one underwhelming. I found a lot of the recipes repetitive - switching out one protein for another, or adding coconut milk and calling it a new recipe - but maybe that's just the nature of Thai recipes? The photos are beautiful though and the instructions clearly written otherwise. My only other complaint is the excessive use of the word "addicting", as in, "This flavours in this dish make it so addicting!", which I have almost never heard used - I thought the proper term was "addictive". Just a little quibble but I'm the kind of person who reads through cookbooks as if they were storybooks so the overuse of any term will annoy me.
