I've had this product for over 2 years now and would highly recommend it. The app is straightforward and makes it easy to set exactly what I want (vibration on or off, sound on or off and high volume or whisper). I am a very heavy sleeper and bought this to help me get up in the mornings. I've taken it backpacking, on vacations, to the cabin, etc. and it's great to have along to get me up without waking everyone else. The charge lasts about a week+ even after 2 years and I've never had any problems with the Bluetooth connection. All around a great product at a great price.

My wife is deaf and we've had issues with the cords wearing out and eventually breaking on SonicBoom alarm clocks. So this wireless shaker seemed like it would be a miracle when we first ordered it, and initially it was. Set up wasn't overly difficult, however, the application was a little awkward getting the alarm set up and then saved to start. But after reading through the directions a couple times and playing around with it, we finally got it worked out.For the first couple days, everything seemed ok. Then on the third day, I got a call from the school that my son was absent and hadn't been called in sick. After getting in touch with my wife, she swears the alarm never went off. This shaker is less intense than those of the SonicBooms, so I assumed she just didn't feel it and slept through it. Then it happened again the next day. Now I was starting to question what was going on, so I personally turned it on and made sure the bluetooth connection was active and connected before we went to bed. In the morning, before leaving for work, I turned on her phone and sure enough, the app said the shaker was disconnected. So I turned the shaker off and back on, then held the button for a couple seconds to force it to reconnect and it worked ok for her that day.So that's been our routine, she connects it at night before bed, I check it and reconnect it in the morning and then pray that it works. It's now failed 5 days in a row, even with reconnecting it between 6am-7am when I leave for work, it's disconnecting again sometime before 8am when the alarm is set to go off.Overall, I love the concept and even though the shaker is a little on the soft side, when it works, it actually works. But it's absolutely UNRELIABLE and since it must have a bluetooth connections for the alarm to go off, it's worthless since it disconnects after a short period of time. I have gone through her phone settings and turned every battery saver option off that I can find, but it's only gotten worse over time.My recommendation to iLuv: Keep the design! It's small, lightweight, wireless and easy to travel with. However, store the alarm settings INTERNALLY so that it doesn't rely on a constant phone connection. You can go ahead and continue to use the application to program it, but build it so that the shaker itself has onboard memory and a timer that controls the alarm. Then the disconnect issues wouldn't matter.I really had a lot of hopes for this product, but in the end, if it's not 99.9% reliable, then it's no good to my wife nor myself. In it's current form, I cannot recommend that anyone who is an Android user, purchase this product. I do not have an iPhone to test with to see if it's more reliable with Apple products, so please consult additional reviews before making a purchasing decision if you aren't on Android.

This alarm is extremely easy to use, it has only one button and an ON/OFF switch, yet it must have some sort of programming error as it constantly makes strong beeps when plugged for recharging without any means to stop them neither through the alarm snooze button nor the app, while the included manual doesn’t say anything with regards this particular issueFurthermore and most importantly: I specifically bought this alarm for its vibrating function as my wife has very sensitive sleeping and any sound alarm that I would use would wake her up too early. Well, it turns out that in order to stop it right after it vibrates by pressing the snooze button, it always make a strong “beep” that ends up waking everyone... what’s the point of the whole vibration function?I’m totally disappointed and definitively regret purchasing it; I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews and choose not because it’s low price.... now I will end up buying two alarms and spend more money

If it had a more powerful vibration function, it would be perfect. It works with the app(just make sure you pair it every time before you go to bed...open the app and hold the a snooze button for three seconds till it says connected) even if the app is rather cumbersome. I give the product 3 stars because it does what it says it does but as it stands, this vibration will not wake me up and I have to have the sound as well. Love the idea and if they increased the vibration(see the sonic boom vibrating alarm clock for instance), this would be five stars easily.

I found this drink coaster sized device so useful that I bought a second one for use as a WBTB dream alarm. It works great and sends out good vibrations when tucked under my pillow. Is it perfect, no... For one thing it beeps annoyingly when pairing it with your iphone (which you have to do to change an alarm setting). This makes it hard to adjust an alarm without waking your bedmate but the worst offense is the noise it makes once fully charged. The little hockey puck beeps and beeps and beeps to tell you that it's belly is full of energy. Why not a nice quiet little LED glowing green? Why does it have to beep every 15 minutes (or is it 10 minutes - though it seems like every minute) once fully charged? This would be a solid 5 star gadget if you could just disable the beep. I tried putting some tape over the beeper to no avail. So my quest continues for the perfect vibration alarm clock but this little guy will do quite (not quietly) nicely until I find my dream alarm.

It took me a while to get used to this little device but I love it now. I was worried that I would have to plug it in to charge it every few days but the battery life on this thing is amazing. I haven't had to recharge it since I got it (about 4 weeks) and it still is at 60%.My only complaint would be that there is no separate "Turn off alarm" button separate from the Snooze or master on/off buttons. Not a big deal and it would have been nice if the on/off button is easier to find and toggle (kinda annoying trying to locate the device inside the pillow case, get it out, and look for the button to toggle every morning.I only use the app to add/remove new alarms, which is very rare. It works well.

This device has been working well --only when my neighbours make noise and force me to wear earplugs. The SmartShaker, in addition to a vibrating watch (for extra safety), guarantees that i will be waking up on time.

I was a little worried after reading the reviews but I don't know what they are on about.The device once set does not need to stay connected via the Bluetooth.Its bang on time every morning before I even switch my phone back on.The vib is great to wake me up as I find it far better than audio alarms.Superb 5*

I haven't had time to use it yet (twice). I got it for when I travel. I don't know whether it will be loud enough I am hoping with more use that I get used to it. I think it is a great idea, especially for travelling. It is so portable.
