Beware, 3 years old tires sold as new!!!
Ordered set of Michelin Pilot Road 2, front tire manufacturing date is Mar 2019 (DOT 1219), rare tire is Jul 2017(!!!!!). So I've just got almost 3 years old tire as "new". I know that technically it is still within the lifespan but it seems a bit too much.

Terrific Tire for my Kawasaki Concours
I have 117,000 miles on my 2011 Concours. I dumped the OEM Bridgestones after one week: junk. I have used 8 sets of Pilot Road 2s, one set of 3s and one of 4s. I never liked the cross sipe technology on the 3s and 4s and though the fronts scalloped badly, Rear tires in the pilot road series all seem about the same. I have settled on the 2s at a better price point for as long as they are still available (just took delivery of a new set today) and have had excellent results on long highway runs in dry, rain, and snow, to the best curves of the Canadian Rockies again in dry, rain and snow. I usually change them out probably way to early at 10k+ but statistics do show that 90% of motorcycle tire failures occur in the last 10% of wear so better safe than sorry. As far as handling the twisties or riding 2-up, as well as packed up for a week camping in Colorado, I love these tires.

Great Sport Touring Tire
I have used this particular tire on my Kawasaki Concours, and 2 Yamaha FJR 1300's. Zero complaints. Typically get about 8,000 miles out of a set. Which isn't bad for a big, heavy sport-touring machine. They perform very good in the twisties. And the cost of these tires is very reasonable. Hope they keep making the Micheline Pilot Road 2.Also, Ordered these tires in July 2020. These tires I received were stamped Dec 2019 for a manufacturing date, so they were NOT old stock. Others seemed to have had this issue. Crapshoot?

Amazing Tires
Great traction pattern and ride feel in the tires that provides the confidence when cutting into that amazing corner at 100+ mph... Glad I tried these out from my other tires... can definitely notice a difference.

Was a good price
I got a decent price on it, I barely have it broken in but already getting more confidence in it. I believe it will be a good tire. Age will probably get it before mileage. I only ride about an hour at a time.

Inexpensive Sport Touring Tire
Just bought my fourth Michelin Pilot Road 2 from MassDepot-Amazon. This front tire was made in 24th week of 2021. It's only four months old. At $220 a pair the Pilot Road 2's are much cheaper than the$380 a pair Michelin Road 5's.
