First off: I love this sheath and am glad I took the risk on it. I've had bad luck with rando sheaths online, with cheap material, thin/composite leather, etc., so I'm always hesitant. The material here is totally adequate, and the stitches all seem solid. I'm pleased.This item appears to have been made-to-order (based on a waiting/stocking delay from time of order to time of shipping) so if you're in a rush, this might not be for you. (I didn't mind the wait.)The measurements provided were accurate, down the millimeter--- measure your knife (width of the blade from the handle all the way to the tip to make sure it will fit) and also consider that the knife's handle or guard might not fit into the opening. (My knife does not have a guard or finger-grip, so this was not an issue.) Measure your knife twice. If they say it will fit a knife 1.5" wide, they mean EXACTLY that width, and not a fraction of an inch more: the measurements represent the MAXIMUM and are very accurate.I dunked the opening of the sheath (where the blade goes in) in a mug of water for about 10 minutes, and then put the knife in as far as I wanted it to go, to sculpt the leather custom-fit around the top of the handle, for a snug and secure seat. If you go this route (wet forming/sculpting the leather) you'll get a very fast custom fit, but will also want to oil the leather afterward (mink oil is your friend) to recondition it.This isn't the thickest leather in the world, but it should be up to the task as an EDC. I probably wouldn't want to do regular intense/rough use with it for an extended period, but as a basic daily belt piece, it is more than up to the task, and I don't expect leather fatigue anytime soon. The stitching is clean, and appears strong-- I'll update my review if there are any changes to that over time.

This sheath was better than expected. Reasonable leather, sufficient stitching. Would have preferred black stitching instead of white but shapie took care of that. Fits tops hazen legion o.k. but fits cold steel oss perfectly.Not sure the additional "scout carry" straps are needed

Make sure your measurements are correct. A quality sheath,made with quality workmanship and materials at a fair price also quick delivery.

Loved it, Looks good and sturdy, ended up putting it on a fancier knife.

Cheap faux leather. Cheaply made. Has no protection for the stitches. Drew my knife once and cut the first 5 stiches. I tossed the damn thing in the trash.

Not what was described. It won't fit a 1 1/2" tall blade. The scales won't even go in it and it takes a lot of effort to get the blade itself in that the edge will end up cutting the threads. Will be returning.

I got this for a Cold Steel Black Bear Classic so I would have something nicer to put it in than the plastic sheath it came with, and this does fit that 8" blade just fine, as does the retention strap. I was hoping the two horizontal straps would allow for scout carry, but they're kind of sloppy and the buckles aren't really adjustable at all as-is to snug them up. My biggest concern is that the main belt loop is attached to the body of the sheath with what looks like glue, some stitching and a few staples, and almost immediately began to separate. This could be fixed by putting in a few double-cap rivets for reinforcement, so I'll probably do that, along with punching a few more holes in the small straps so they can be adjusted. Not a bad value for the price, and I think it has potential.

My knife is at least 40 years old and more. It was a home made job from my grandfather that despite the great glob of solder on the pummel it’s stood the test of time and sharpens very well. The sheath it came with finally disintegrated and it was a toss up between the leather or synthetic. I measured the blade and toke a risk. It fits like a glove and the quality looks high. I’m optimistic and happy with it so far

Wanted something other than the kydex dangler that came with the knife.

Well made for the price, just recieved it so no comment on longevity. Bought it for a 5.5 inch blade the blade ends at the 2nd strap but it seems stiff enough that the blade shouldnt cut through if the sheath gets bent. Both clips must of been made in the same press since the 2nd one is loose and moved around. I added a hole inbetween the pre-existing ones and now it fits snugly and fixed the issue.
