Vitacost Mega EFA Omega-3 EPA & DHA -- 1200 mg per serving - 240 Softgels

I have taken this supplement for many years now and this brand has been the best. The pill is large as are others, but it is easy to swallow the pill surprisingly smells satisfying when others have had a fishy smell.

So far I like the results!

From the photo it looks like you receive a little sized bottle of a supplement so I was surprised when the bottle was really large, at least twice the size of the ordinary off the shelf supplements I typically purchase.The price on Amazon wasn't too bad in my opinion. It was about what I would expect from a quality product.The psychiatrist for my son and also the pdoc suggested this brand in particular stating it was the only one containing the ingredients with the peer reviewed research to back up its effectiveness for depression. The psychiatrist went so far as to say, 'try this first before prescription medication.' (My son is 12 and suffers from depression.)The pills were a little large for him to swallow at first, but they taste fruity and not fishy. There is no burping or bad after taste.They did not cure depression or effect my mood in anyway that I could tell but I think they are a healthy addition to the diet.

This is my choice for over 10 years

It was just mega omega 3 pills that I have ordered before for my heart health. Good quality and it has been good for me. Vitacost is a brand I have preferred.

Great price for the right fish oils! Everyone pushes the idea of fish oils improving health but most don't realize it's actually the EPA & DHA fatty acids that aid your body the most! After researching quite extensively I found this fish oils to have some of the highest amounts of both EPA & DHA fatty acids at an amazing price! There's other products with as much or more EPA & DHA but will cost you an arm and a leg. The strawberry flavor also helps with the burps (fish oil floats at the top of the stomach and takes a little while to mix with other stomach goodies).

These do seem to really help depression, though I've not taken them long enough yet to reap maximum benefit, which I hope will be even better. They do smell strange, since you don't expect fish to smell like fruit though.

I have used these fish oils for a few years. This fish oil has 800 mg of EPA and 400 mg of DHA per 2 soft gels. I take one in the morning and one at night.If you want a lot of EPA and DHA - these are the fish oil pills to take.The strawberry essence is a nice addition (less of a fishy smell).
