tastes like raw egg and fruit juice mixed with a Flintstones vitamin
sooo... The taste isn't great. like at all. I ate one to get my kids to try it and I gagged in front of them, and my boys laughed. I was impressed with the effect of this supplement. Personally, I'm not restless and I don't feel the usual "pins and needles feeling" in my legs that I've had since I had my first kid. As for my boys, I haven't had to repeat myself to get them into their daily routine and we haven't had one melt down yet. They are unusually quiet..Update to come for review if needed. So far, so good. As for the taste... I might have to crush this and mix it with a yogurt pop if needed-- these taste horrible, and I don't think any child should have to play a game of dare to get them to eat something nasty every morning.. We will figure it out, though. I might actually get a bottle for myself and my husband.

Wanted to love it, but tastes horrible
I've had such a hard time finding a supplement with magnesium and l-theanine for my 9-year-old son with ADHD, that he will take. He will swallow pills, but I can't find any in pill form dosed for kids (this is far too large to swallow whole). I chewed one of these before offering to him and at first it tasted fine, but the inside was so bitter I had to quickly wash it down with water because the taste was so terrible. I'm not picky at all, so there's no way my picky son would take this. He trusts me to explain flavors to him before taking them, and there's no way on earth I would get him to trust me to take anything after this. I couldn't even risk letting him try it, and I wouldn't dare take another one it was such a horrible experience. I was so hopeful this would be the perfect supplement. I'm so disappointed. I really hate leaving bad reviews. I just wanted to share my experience with other parents, especially those with kids who are picky with chewables.

It WORKS...! Worth a try before turning to prescription medication.
My daughter started Kindergarten this year. Her Pre-K experience was horrible. She ran threw the hallways, yelled, screamed, ran around the classroom.... every day! The school staff threw around, "We think she's autistic...!" quite a bit.I wasn't completely convinced of that. I was thinking she was just "bad" or displaying bad behavior. I started giving her "Chillax" by Olly. I couldn't tell if they were effective because her actions didn't change.Fast-forward to Kindergarten, first day at a new school, SAME BEHAVIOR!! :(At the end of the 2nd week of school I knew I wasn't going to let her continue like this. Her dad asked her, "Why do you misbehave in class and not follow the classroom routine?" She responded with, "I do MY OWN ROUTINE, SCHOOL ROUTINE IS BORING!!" WHAT????SO, your horrible behavior is a choice?? You don't need prescription medication???I decided to try a calming supplement again. We have to double the dose because we're told that the effects of one tablet wears off just after lunch. Since then, she's shown great progress. She's no longer terrorizing her classmates! She has "moments" but from the feedback given, she's able to be corrected more quickly now.She gets stamps and stickers for god behavior most days. The days with no marks are "bad" days. I've counted more stamps than X's soooo they WORK!! 😂*I can't put the positive changes all on the tablets. We speak with her daily about what it means to be "good" in class and to others. We offer positive reinforcements and punishment when necessary. We've cut out all sweets and sugar sources throughout the week.*All in all, I think they're worth a try before turning to prescription medication. I'm writing the review before ordering the 2nd bottle.

I'm rating the older version. Old version = Amazing. New version = ?
I got these to help my son. He could lay in bed for hours past bedtime (with nothing to do) and still not fall asleep. However, I noticed that when I gave him a whole tablet, he wasn't able to get up the next morning for school -I understand the zombie comments, because yes they seem drugged if given a whole tablet. Because of this, I'd give him half and eventually my daughter the other half (since she fidgets and kicks a lot in her sleep). This has helped them BOTH get a better and deeper sleep. I saved using a full tablet for when they were getting sick or already sick and needed extra sleep and did not need to be up by a certain time (a relaxing lazy day to reboot). But I have not tried the new tiny pellets that don't look like they could be broken-up to suit the child. I don't know if the ingredients changed or not (because I haven't checked). I'll admit, I still have some of the older bottle left as I do not have to use these every night anymore, but use them when I sense the kids are stressed, sore from running around too much, or even sometimes just a little moody/sad, so about 3 times a week. My sons insomnia has gotten better and he doesn't seem to need these every night now (but some nights he does!) and I've noticed my daughter has fewer nightmares and more restful sleep. She still gets nightmares, but instead of waking up every 30 minutes to 2 hours all through the night scared, she only wakes up 2-4 times a week (and that's usually when her pull-up is wet). I can not rate the new version as I don't know entirely what is different about it, but I might be hesitant to continue buying if I find out the ingredients are different, or if the amount is the same as what a full tablet is in the old version. If that's the case, I will only use them when the kids are sick. Or if the ingredients changed, I might look elsewhere. I likely won't use the new version much anyway since I will only need a whole tablet when they are getting sick and the new version does not have a cut indent to help break it in half. The old product was however was/is absolutely amazing! I'm hoping the new version isn't messed up :/ I know how companies like to justify changes based on their bottom line ($) but I really hope this company keeps with small business quality and customer service and doesn't try to get all big business on us.
