Patricia Underwood: The Way You Wear Your Hat

IF you love hats, I mean REAL hats, this is a beautiful book. and I do mean BEAUTIFUL. The pages even FEEL good, let alone look great.

Dramatic on my coffee table. A book for anyone who loves wearing hats and especially Patricia Underwood hats.

Very interesting

I have to say -- I LOVED THIS BOOK! It is oversized (perfect gift for a chapeau or fashion loving friend), and full of beautiful, full sized, color + b/w photographs.I knew the name "Patricia Underwood," and her hats... but did not really know her background, or the extent of her knowledge, inventiveness or contribution to American fashion. This book is a beautiful exploration of "where she came from," how she got interested in hats, and, really -- just how damn (sorry!) talented she is.As a fashion history, it also explores her relationship with the great designers -- Perry Ellis, Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, and others. She enjoyed long friendship/working relationships with so many designers. And shows how her hats contributed to their overall look going down the runway (much like Manolo Blahnik's shoes...)The book also contains sumptuous photographs of so many of her designs. Really beautiful -- and makes you want to go out and wear a hat! I would consider "Patricia Underwood" a must have for any student of fashion -- or, really, anyone who loves style! (I got lots of great ideas for putting an outfit together from its pages...)

Fantastic book about my sisters hat making career

Lovely photographs, classy book. Interesting to read but text a bit pale to read on some pages.

Highly recommend - beautiful photos of beautiful hats on iconic ladies - don't miss it.
