The Most Beautiful Ballets (Paper Theatre)

I love this book. So beautiful and the music is lovely.

I saw this book on a you tube channel. They were in a London store. It was much cheaper to buy it on Amazon.

Beautiful I bought is for my granddaughter.

Slightly disappointing. The book itself is beautiful with each story concisely told on the left hand side and a beautiful accompanying papercut colour scene on the right. Its large in size and satisfyingly weighty.What let's it down is the ridiculously short excerpts of music...each lasts about 5 seconds and the Nutcracker one is particularly annoying as the music cuts out mid refrain. I know this is aimed at children but even young kids can listen for more than the 5secs given! As the whole story is told on one page, a longer piece of music was expected and certainly would have been more appropriate.So I am reluctantly sending this back as I do not consider this good value for money compared to the sound books by Jessica Courtney Tickle. They have short excerpts too but are appropriate in tandem with the story which is spread over multiple pages.Such a shame because it is a gorgeously produced book...

Beautiful book - a gift for my ballet loving Great-niece

This is a beautiful pop-up book but is also supposed to be musical.Book arrived with button switched on and the musical function not working.Buy this book from a shop where you can test the functionality and avoid disappointment.This seller should realise that this book is probably intended for a child...although I was also excited to listen to the music.Very disappointing.Too bad there isn’t a zero rating.
