The Official Price Guide to Collector Knives, 14th edition Paperback – March 9, 2004

Houston's book is a great one, but he obviously likes Case the most, but rates a few others with 3-4 stars, but any rare and obscure brand will not get the rating though the quality and craftsmanship may be better than other makes he favors.This is a great quick reference book for any collector.This is one you will use.

It was a little expensive

I wanted a book to help me identify a bunch of pocket knives I had acquired and what they might be worth. This book helped me do that quite easily and I would recommend it to anyone with similar goals. "The standard knife collectors guide" by Ritchie and Stewart was also of equal value.I would have liked to have seen more color photos and fewer copier quality pictures but the process was good enough to do what I needed. This book made it easier to discern differences among similar knives because of the detail that was included in knife types.

Great resource manual

Had to return as the book was evidently owned by a “smoker”. Not worth the high cost!

This is just what I have been looking for. I have some old knifes and I have been wondering what they were worth. Now maybe I can find out.

It is what it is, published 16 years ago. I’ll keep it in the event someone gives me an old knife.
