Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I 12mm U.S. Retail Version CCTV Bullet IP HD Security Camera

I purchased this Hikvision 12mm DS-2CD2032-i from SafeGuard Designs.I've never seen a Trendnet Switch show a Red PoE light until I plugged this camera in.I have 8 hikvision cameras on my network and 15 other brands that I have setup myself with BI software. I tried different PoE injector and PoE switch. Camera gets really hot but is not found by SADP hikvision software. Trendnet Switch Blinks Red light then goes to green then red. It's the only camera I've ever seen that happen with. I have several other 12mm Hikvision that work fine. This one is dead on arrival.

The one I received was gray market, but it worked exactly as the others I have. Would recommend this particular camera and all Hikvision products.If you aren't using any Hikvision products, I highly recommend them if you are considering residential or commercial security cameras. The free software they provide (both PC, Mac, iOS, Android ...) all work great. The setup requires a bit of technical knowledge, but anyone following the directions should get it done and it certainly beats paying a monthly fee (to someone like ADT) for remote security camera capabilities when Hikvision products can do all that for free.

Camera gives a good clear image under well lit conditions. I could only get 2 out of 3 cameras to work and thought it was a firmware issue (v5.2x vs. v5.3x). Turned out it was a software/documentation/support issue and I was VERY pleased with how Amazon handled it. Thank you Amazon!

The 12mm FL lens gives a very clear image at 30 yards. HIKvision quality is very good for the price. Would purchase again.

Works great. Software takes some time to figure out.

Great camera. I wish I had purchased this one before I bought the 4mm one.
