I love the idea of this product. I went to their website with my chimney flue measurements (square opening) and picked the one recommended. I installed it and after some work was able to get it to more or less seal. A few days later I noticed the draft was back. After some more looking around it had caved in on one side. After some more work i got it to more or less seal again. It seems to be holding after about a week.Overall I think this is a good product but it may not be as simple as just shoving it up the flue (YMMV).

A little difficult to finagle but helps. It gets a little messy but seems to do the job. I have noticed I do not smell the burt fire place smell caused by the draft.

Didn't fit

The Flueblocker is nothing more than a piece of surplus pressed composite wool. You can make your own my purchasing some WW2 German wool blankets. Cut them a few inches larger than the opening you wish to block, and then STUFF the material up into your chimney. How do I know this? Because I paid $168 for a custom flueblocker for my chimney. It was so flimsy that it would not hold its rectangular shape, and the small black plastic handles provided quickly broke off within minutes of the installation attempt. Four wires were supplied, no doubt because the material is too flimsy to hold its shape. The wires do not work. I had to basically shove the material way up into the chimney, and I will likely still have small air leaks as this will not be a tight seal. So SAVE your money. You can make you own Flueblocker by going to an Army Navy store and buying an old wool blanket and shoving it up into the opening you are trying to seal. Probably the worst purchase I have ever made. And I made it because the $78 chimney balloon from the same company deflated within minutes of being installed by me. It was sent back and I should have just asked for a full refund instead of being talked into the 'Flueblocker.' I bet the English are laughing all the way to the bank everytime they sell one of these flimsy surplus wool blankets to an American.

Great product at a great price would use again, does what it says it will, no more draughts
