Are you tired of your battery draining right in the middle of a photoshoot or while recording an event? I bought this to record church services because my battery wouldn't last long enough. Easy to use, and most cameras have a little flap on the door to put the cord through.I haven't had any issues. This unit fit our Power Shot perfectly. It provided plenty of power to shoot with flash and do editing on the camera. Came with clear instructions on how to utilize the cameras built in cable.slot which I never noticed before. This is important because the unit won't work unless the battery door is closed

The listing says specifically that this is for an SX-50 - not true. This adapter is twice the thickness of the battery compartment.

Very nice product - The battery adapter fits inside my Canon SX 60 camera exactly. Well made.

If you are at home or some where with a socket, it is much easier not having to recharge the batteries every now and then. The only problem I found with this item is that the connector on the battery adapter (which fits inside the camera's battery compartment) gets loose at time and I loose power. Another common disadvantage (a problem that would exist when you don't have a battery, not particular to this item) is that the camera looses the time if you keep the power off
