It's quite an original book. May be a bit boring sometimes

Enjoying the daily selections. The editor takes excerpts from all the Shakespeare plays and sonnets.

Having seen excerpts from the book performed at festival on 2020, I was intrigued and wanted this as I rarely have time to sit and read for long. These selections are the perfect length. If you have someone you’d like to introduce to Shakespeare this is the perfect sampling, especially for a younger person.

The book is well written and organized. I just wish a more modern language translation, yes translation, had been used for the Shakespeare material The older English style proved too hard for me to enjoy. I eventually set the book aside after a month of struggling thru too many days of trying to understand Shakespeare’s points!

What can I say, it’s Shakespeare. But this is so well presented. I haven’t missed a day of reading since I purchased it. I love this book.

Christmas gift for a friendThey love it

I saw this book reviewed in a magazine and finally tracked it down from Amazon . Treated myself as a Christmas gift ! It is a really special book with a passage from a Shakespeare play/ poem for each day of the year with a few words about the text and a little explanation of why it was chosen. Really nicely presented whether you are already a Shakespeare fan or just want to know his work better. A substantial hard backed book which looks as good as its contents.,

A Beautiful read. Each day is different and I’m just reading as a book. Cleverly chosen readings and explanations, great to read out aloud, as it should be. I recommend this book to all Shakespeare lovers and those who want to find Shakespeare.
