Best inexpensive real time tracker!
This review is for the LandAirSea 54 tracker. This is the 3rd one I've purchased, all from Amazon. They all have worked very well, and they were very easy to setup. I use them on various vehicles for tracking purposes.More Positive things: The magnet on the bottom is super strong. The battery life is good. When the vehicle is not moving, the device goes to sleep, and conserves battery power. I would estimate the battery life is about 5-7 days for average use. If put on a commercial vehicle, it may have to be recharged every day or two. The Silvercloud online application works well and has many options. I constantly use the reports page to check history of each device. The playback feature works well too. I have an Android phone, and downloaded the Silvercloud app to that. The cell phone app doesn't have as many features as the web-based (PC) app, but I constantly use the real-time device status, which includes remaining tracker battery life percentage. It also has a historical playback feature which is handy as well. LandAirSea offers several monthly plans. I'm on the cheapest $25 per month plan, which gives me pings every minute. That works for me. I don't have the need to spend more money for more frequent pings.Cons: No real bad things to say about this device. Like I said, this is my third one, all in use, and all work well.Summary: If you want an inexpensive, low-maintenance tracker, this is it! Be sure to go to their website and watch the video on where to place the tracker on the vehicle.

Extremely accurate and easy to use
It was easy to mount accurate and the reports that it was able to give me had an amazing amount of data. It could track a vehicle in places so accurately that I could tell when the car was repositioned in the same spot . It stores the data long enough to be able to grab a snapshot of up to a months period of time in order to see the patterns in travel. Great product

Good, but has some room to grow. Great for the price.
Wish the battery lasted longer than a week, but it's a good product otherwise. Setup was a little bit of a pain and I had to call them multiple times to make sure I was doing it right. Two different websites- one for the company, and the other is the tracking service. Activating could have gone smoother- I had to call to do it rather than the website function taking care of it. I also don't like how the maps, when downloaded, have no set start and stop points (if you track a week's data, you see it all and there is no neat way to move the timeline), no real imaging as you're reviewing (I track to a stop and then have to google it to find out where it's at).Still, it does what it's supposed to do, and it's a good price. I don't think I'd replace this item, I would just upgrade the log navigation. Also, Customer Service was great each time. I was able to talk to a person almost immediately each time I did call.

Won’t pick up a signal for 12-36 hours at a time, COMPLETE FAIL
This thing got excellent reviews, so I don’t know if I got the ONE nonfunctional device out of the hundreds of functional ones, or what, but mine spends more time NOT working and “frozen” (with the GPS suddenly unable to transmit a signal) than it does actually working. When I first started using it I noticed 3 or 4 hour gaps of time missing, with the location updating suddenly but showing no route getting from point A to point B. When I called they suggested putting the device on a different area of the car, so I did. The gaps of missing time continued, this time getting even longer with 8 hours missing, then 12, then 16. I called tech support again. They argued with me that the GPS would stop transmitting if the vehicle was not in motion. Duh. I’m not an idiot. But I know the difference between a still vehicle (the SilverCloud app shows the car as “Stopped”, generally in a driveway or parking lot) and a moving vehicle (app shows car with the last mph transmitted, generally in the middle of the street) that’s obviously frozen (vehicle isn’t moving on the map, even though mph is 38, for example, not 0). At this point, I’m irate, because I’ve spent $$ on the device, I’ve spent $$$ on 1 month of service, paying the highest amount possible because I want the most frequent updates possible. When compared to the monthly fees of other devices out there, theirs is SKY high, but I figured “You get what you pay for, and I want to always know where the tracker is & where it’s been, otherwise what’s the point in having one at all.” I spent the first month getting familiar with the device & app, and honestly just trying to get the piece of garbage to actually WORK before I place it on a vehicle I won’t have access to in case it suddenly stops working for good. I call AGAIN and explain my situation AGAIN. They tell me to restart the device, leaving it off for a few minutes so it can recalibrate or some nonsense. So I do. Then, after I turn it back on, for 48 hours straight, it works really well. I get my hopes up. I have one opportunity each week to place this tracker where it needs to be if I’m going to actually start using it how I intended it instead of testing it on myself. I see those 48 hours as a sign that the device will keep working AS ADVERTISED, that it will finally deliver the service that I’m PAYING FOR in a RELIABLE manner, FINALLY.. I place the tracker in the vehicle the purchase was intended for in the first place. I leave. When the car leaves the location, it shows it leaving. Great! It shows it drive across town, down the freeway, then get off the freeway, drive down the street and head toward—That’s it. It freezes. It freezes going 29 mph in the middle of the street. I think I must be reading the map wrong, I must be going insane, did the person find it and throw it out the window of a speeding car and it got run over and 29 mph actually means “smashed to bits in the middle of the street”? Or maybe they pulled into a parking garage REALLY quickly? Maybe there’s a parking garage there, not a busy street? Maybe I really AM AN IDIOT??? I spend 40 minutes of driving, 40 minutes there and 40 minutes back, I spend my TIME and my GAS, to drive to the last location transmitted and of course, there is nothing there. There is no parking garage. There is no pile of plastic pieces smashed to bits. I call customer service. They tell me “Oh, it just is having a hard time transmitting the signal, YOU SHOULD JUST RESTART THE DEVICE AND GIVE IT THREE MINUTES TO RECALIBRATE ITSELF.”I can’t restart the device. I don’t know where it is. If I knew where it was, I wouldn’t be calling you saying I don’t know where it is, now would I?Guess how long it’s “frozen” for this time? 36 HOURS. Then, it picks back up the signal for about 45 minutes, THEN FREEZES AGAIN. IT HAS BEEN FROZEN NOW FOR ANOTHER 18 HOURS.I am out the cost of the device and payments for two months of premium service, for what? For something extremely important that I got to track for a CUMULATIVE 90 MINUTES? For TWO 45 MINUTE SEGMENTS over the course of THREE DAYS??????I’m happy to change my review if this device is a dud and I am sent a brand new one that ACTUALLY WORKS and I am refunded IN FULL the service payments for the last two months. Otherwise, this ginormous hockey-puck sized hunk of POINTLESS (not to mention expensive $$$) GARBAGE gets a 1-Star review from me.I guess i’ll go find a different tracker to buy and start this process all over again. What a WASTE of TIME and MONEY and ENERGY during a crucial time of my life where I really REALLY needed this device to work for my own PERSONAL safety. I’m trying to be alerted when my abuser is nearby, where he is living now, when he comes within a certain range of my home or wherever I am, because he has sent me some very frightening threats, has claimed to be moving near me, and in the past has been violent and possessive enough to make me believe he’ll deliver on these claims. Alllllll I wanted to pay for in a GPS device was a little peace of mind. Instead, I have gotten ZERO new information m, have been stressed out about this device not working ON TOP OF EVERYTHING ELSE, and I’ve wasted a ridiculous amount of money that I don’t have the luxury of wasting. The 54 by LandAirSea = COMPLETE FAIL

Everyone should have one of these devices for one reason or another.
This device is awesome. A couple of friends have this and it has helped them in their findings. I suggest that everyone have one of these devices for what ever reason. Very easy to use and accurate. Well worth the money for sure.
