I love how there are fact sheets for each medication with the most practical, applicable information for each one. There are also algorithms throughout the book for different diagnostic situations. I use this book more than anything else!

Written simply , practical. Would have been great if they made a more detailed version though

This is an amazingly clear and concise book with excellent guidance. Very readable. It has become one of my favorite. Good in the clinic and good to review while home. Highly recommended for the student and practitioner of psychiatry prescribing. After purchasing this you should also sign up for the Carlat podcasts and newsletter. The content is invaluable.

Pages 231-234 were missing.

The best book for prescribing psych meds. It even includes the newer ones. 11/10. Awesome for a student ARNP or any new provider in mental health, as well as experienced providers. A psychiatrist recommended this book to me - he uses it every day and he’s been a psych for +30 years.

This book is great for new nps that need a little more help with choosing what would be best. The book even has charts! It's easy to ready and thorough. I use this and my Stahls. I wish I had this book while I was in practicums.
