16 starts in the clouds, but where it ends up is what makes it truly special. As rainwater collects in a mineral rich caldera on Mt. Halla, it begins to pass through sixteen layers of porous volcanic bedrock, naturally purifying 16. The result is great-tasting water fortified with minerals. in total, 16 slowly travels through 1,400 ft. of this mineral rich bedrock, resulting in an 18-year purification process.

If Smell and Taste are Naturally Caused by Purification Process, Then It's a Steal
Not too shure if i like this water. It DOES have a noticeable taste of chlorine. Also, the 7.7 - 7.8 pH on the description is conflicting with the 7.3 pH listed on the bottle. The plastic bottle is fancy and strong, not flimsy like Poland Spring or cheaper brands. It's more like a Fiji/Evian in terms of strength and rigidness. In terms of the source, Jeju Island is used by two other water companies, Samdasoo (#1 Korean domestic water brand), and Hanjin Jejupurewater which is only offered on Korean Air flights and affiliated hotels. I can't comment on Samdasoo, never had it, never seen it in Northeastern US, but Jejupurewater doesn't have the slight chlorine taste and is my favorite water. It's not commercially available so it's out of the picture. The other noticeable volcanic water is Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water which sells for a whopping $46 (24pk, 500ml). Lastly, this water actually has a weak scent. I don't know if that's good or bad since it comes from a volcano, but it is something I feel I should mention in the review. For the price, it's unbeatable. Volcanic water for ~$1.05 per bottle is significantly cheaper than all other volcanic waters, and comes from a unique, well-liked source.tldr: slightly noticeable chlorine taste, has a weak scent, conflicting pH levels, much cheaper than competition, high-quality plastic bottle

Pure tasting
Very very neutral to my taste. Almost seems distilled. I know too expensive to ship from Korea in glass bottles but I think would be more Appropriate for this type water. Glass bottles make quite a difference in my view.for these high end bottled waters

Wow!
Saw this new water and the story really interested me so I gave it a shot and placed an order. I can honestly say I was stunned how crisp and clean this water was. I'm an avid pop drinker and have been trying to drink more water lately. This water also tasted very good. I highly recommend you try this water. You won't be disappointed.

Pure, Natural, Healthy - great water!
My wife purchased this water last month, now our whole family is hooked! We order several cases monthly. They raised the price since we first ordered, but the quality is so good, so pure we are willing to keep buying here until it is available at our local shop. Looking forward to it being available in more places.

Best Water, Hands Down!!!
This has to be the very best water I have ever tried. Our family has tried the filtered pitchers, grocery store water, and even high end "specialty" water and this is by far the best. Most waters you can taste the chlorine or other added chemicals from their purification process. 16 has none of that! Is it extremely crisp, clean, and very refreshing. From now on, this is the only water my family will be drinking!!!

Tastes pretty salty/like chlorine.
It tastes very salty almost. It came with a booklet with DVD in the box, and I think I saw that it had a lot of chlorine. I think that's what is contributing to the taste.

Water not worth the $$$
Love the bottles but the water did not taste different enough (from other bottled waters) to justify the high cost. Will not purchase again.
