I received this dehydrator as a gift Christmas of 2022. It's a perfect size, easy to clean and operate, and worked like a champ up until recently when the heating element kicked.Falling within the 1 yr warranty, I contacted customer service in reference to purchasing a replacement part. They don't offer that option but wanted to make sure I was taken care of the best way possible. After several e-mail communications (all responding within 24hrs) replacing the entire unit at their expense was offered. Unfortunately, this unit is currently unavailable so an immediate refund was then offered, accepted and, within minutes, applied to my account.Needless to say, while the dehydrator didn't hold up as hoped, the FIRST units I'll search through for a replacement will be those from VIVOHOME. In today's world, quality customer service should never go unnoticed. After this experience, I know I can shop with confidence, and am more than happy to give them a second chance.

The media could not be loaded. My old dehydrator finally died of old age. It was so old that none of us could even remember who got it or when we got it or where we got it. That’s old. So I had to start from scratch looking for a new dehydrator. The Vivo Home is what I finally chose and I’m glad I did. The racks are not as wide as my old dehydrator, but there are 6 of them so I don’t think it will be a problem.The Vivo Home has a covered heating element. My old dehydrator didn’t, so anything that dripped went directly onto the heating element (which probably contributed to its final breakdown). Note that the Vivo Home people recommend running the dehydrator empty for a few hours the first time…just in case there’s any smoke or odors. But I did notice any smoke or odors at all.The Vivo Home has multiple temperature settings. My old dehydrator was either on…or off. And I have no idea how hot it was, it just did whatever with me watching it carefully. This will give me a lot more options on what I use the dehydrator for.The Vivo Home has a timer. It’s easy to forget the dehydrator is running if the process takes hours…now I don’t have to worry (once I figure out the timings for the various foods).I also like the adjustable trays. It’s nice to be able to collapse the trays to make it easier to store the dehydrator, then move them back up when I have thicker things to dry…or just want more airflow. Oh, and the Vivo Home also has a fan…so I probably don’t need to worry about the airflow as much. I did worry about how noisy the fan would be, but I’ve found that it’s actually very quiet. I could run this indoors without a problem (noise-wise).And it even comes with an instruction book…and a recipe book. I’ve already browsed the recipes and found a few new things to try!

I purchased this dehydrator to make beef jerky and could not wait for it to arrive. We had our meat totally ready to go! It works well, not too loud and it didn't heat up my kitchen. The jerky came out amazing THE SECOND TIME lol we wont talk about the first time... apparently there is a learning curve 🙄. Very happy with my purchase and family loves it too.

The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this dehydrator. Every easy to use store and clean. It came securely packaged in a big square bubble wrap so it made it here safely. Set up is a breeze 5 minutes...The trays are nice and height between them can be varied between 1.5 cm and 2.7 cm. Incredibly easy to vary the height.Control panel very simple to control. 95 to 158 degrees and 30 minutes up to 72 hours.Surprised as to how quiet this is. I don’t have anything to compare it to but from what I’ve heard from others dehydrators can be loud. This one certainly isn’t.I am a big fan of how easy this will be to store. Base is small and the trays stack compact too. In my house of many kitchen appliances space is an issue at times but I don’t think I’ll have any trouble storing this one.Overall nice product and pleased with it.Update- I’ve now made beef jerky and banana chips and love this dehydrator. Works perfect and so easy to clean in the dishwasher. Food turned out great and like setting the timer and letting it work it’s magic. Very satisfied.

Sizing can be confusing in the picture and description. With of 11.5" listed but that is for bottom heat unit, trays are about 9.5" Nice feature is stack can be short about 6 inches or tall 11.4 inches, you have see the notch to align and it will make each tray to have space of about 1 1/2 inch or collapse it to about 6 inches. Nice feature to have for drying and for storage. Operation is good and simple, with good timing and temp control, and so far works well. With feature like this I would like it to be bigger but being smaller, it does take less time to dry food. I replaced rectangular unit I had for a year when motor stop running, also previous one had moisture buildup that flow down to heat unit. This had less moisture buildup and ran solid. So far I have dried apple chips, jerky, yam and came out great. Althoug it worked great to be sure this one lasts, get 4 year warranty for $9. When I wasn't satisfied with operation, customer support contacted me immediately to resolve the issue. This vendor is top in my list in customer satisfaction with great product. For those with house to dry, get couple to dry for price of this unit you can get two for what you can get for larger units. Also, packaging came simple bubble wrap that is a re-usable, so instead of storing in plain box, you have protective wrap in the box for long lasting protection.

heater burnt out after a few dozen uses, took too long to dehydrate while using a lot of electricity.

It’s a nice machine works well but the provided instructions don’t give me instructions for cooking times and temps in the dehydrator. I got more info in the instruction on how to prep the meat and pre heat it in my oven than anything in regards to dehydrating

The trays are made of cheap plastic that look like they could easily crack. My herbs, laid in a thin layer, took more than 24 hours to dry. Looks like a $20 machine, and operates like one too. Invest in a good quality dehydrator - this isn’t it.
