Excellent material for a dissertation I am working on

I ordered a new book and the front 10 pages came folded and glued into the seem (so I can't just unfold it). Additionally, the pages where cut in a diagonal and have a dip cut out on the top. Sadly, I need the book for this week and a few weeks following so I don't have time to return it. Wish I would have bought used as this book is not new.
