Cream of the West Roasted 7-Grain hot cereal is a hearty multigrain Montana "oatmeal" made from a unique blend of hard red wheat, oats, barley, rye, triticale, soft white wheat and spelt. Our recipe is pure and simple: combine 7 different, flaked, non-GMO-verified whole grains. Add nothing; take away nothing. Lightly roast the grain to bring out the rich, nutty flavor. Cook it in 5-7 minutes and serve it steaming hot with cinnamon and brown sugar, or your favorite topping. Roasted 7-Grain can also be used as an ingredient to add texture, flavor and extra nutrition to cookies, breads, pizza dough, meat loaf and fruit cobbler. The first bowl of Cream of the West "Cowboy Cereal" was served up in a ranch kitchen in southcentral Montana in 1914.
