Can these be used with the XL Twin beds coming in many dorms today also?

my dorm room bed has a full foot-board (I have a picture that would better illustrate what I am saying) so would the loft kit still work with that?

If your dorm room bed has small legs on the footboard it will work. The legs each sit on the loft. It worked well for my daughters dorm, but it is heavy to carry up steps and a little confusing to put together the first time because the instructions are limited. Be cautious when ordering, I had bought two for her dorm and only used one, and amazon would not return as they sell it for a third party. I was referred to the third party and they would not take a return. One of them was never even opened out of the box!
