Joy Bridalc Women's Kimono Robe Japanese Traditional Brocade Cosplay Costume

The Kimono was beautiful and well made. I would have loved it if it fit my daughter.If you have a larger bust or booty, this "One size fits most" might not fit you or the person you're buying it for.I'm glad that it arrived so fast because I had time to look at it and also realize that it wouldn't fit before giving it as a gift for the holidays.I returned it easily enough through an Amazon locker in my area for free.I gave it four stars because I would have definitely kept it if it wasn't for the size.

This is a beautiful, well-made kimono with a satin-look polyester fabric that is very flattering to most figures. The white piping around the collar area adds stiffness to ensure this looks dressy and doesn't sag the way a bathrobe would. My daughter bought this to cosplay a Japanese anime character, but this is a REAL kimono, not just a costume. My only CAVEAT is that Asian sizing runs SMALL. If your waist is more than 35.5" wide or you are more voluptuous than a size 14-16, the kimono won't cross and/or the belt won't have enough fabric to close around your waist. [*sad puppy ... this means Mom can't swipe it from kiddo*]. If you've got curves, save yourself some disappointment and cough up extra for a plus-size kimono.

This is a beautiful product, well made and even lined. However it is far too small and doesn't close in the front.This is unfortunate, because had it fit correctly, I was going to buy several more in assorted colors and patterns.Probably better for someone very petite, as I am tall and full figured. Perhaps it was wishful thinking. Maybe I can find a use for the lovely brocade fabric.

So disappointed. The kimono is truly beautiful and obviously well made but the measurements in the size chart are WAY offf. I ordered the largest size which should have given me 3-4 inches of extra room in the bust area to overlap. This won’t even meet at the bust much less overlap. Plus the bust area has panels that extend past the main garment so the body and around the hips are even smaller. The obi belt is even worse- technically it’s the length of the chart, but it’s really much smaller to get the Velcro to match. I really wish they had been more accurate. I’m going to try to return it but there’s no way I can wear this for the costume event I was planning on, good thing I gave myself extra time.

The reviews stating this runs small scared me, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. You can't tell from the picture but this is like a robe, so you can pull it tight or loosen it up. I am pretty curvy (E cup) and fit just fine.

Although I returned this product for other reasons, it is an incredible piece. It is beautifully made, with the design embroidered to the material - not printed. The material is easy to iron and the full piece is shiny and silky. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested. The only downfall is it's not meant for long strides as it opens up fairly easily. Unlike a bath robe, there is not much of an overlap on the closure.

Got lots of compliments and its great for the price. I recomend buying a different obi or tie for the mid section. Its very loose and doesnt look as good as the rest of it.

Bought as a Halloween costume theme. My son was a Samurai. The material design is very pretty. I wear size 12 and have a bit of a large bottom but slim on top, so I wish I would’ve had Velcro placed along the bottom seam to keep the dress together from opening up when I walked. I wore leggings so it wasn’t a big deal.
