I had this $6 tamper that claimed to be 51mm but for some reason wouldn’t cover the entire portafilter but I went ahead and got it the same size and dimensions and to my surprise it fits perfectly ! I used to have the problem to have some uncompressed coffee but not no more with this new tamper definelty recommend it saves from the hustle and time to brew coffee and it feels like a good quality Tamper very happy here and so worth it.

This is the first coffee tamper I’ve purchased. I’ve been using the plastic one that came with my Mr Coffee Cafe Barista espresso machine and figured I’d buy a “real” one. It seems to make a little bit of a difference in the flavor of the espresso drinks I make. It seems to work well so far. No issues and good value for the money. Seems durable. It’s heavy and fits well in my hand. I have no experience with coffee tampers (except the plastic ones) so I have nothing to compare it to but I like it so far. It has a spring and it seems like you have to push down pretty hard..hopefully it’s made to be pushed down to the right pressure.

30 pounds of pressure checked. I used a scale and I was getting 41 pounds on average, overall it’s probably doing 30 because I had to hold it down for the digital scale to give a reading. It’s replacing a plastic press that came espresso machine. Overall I’m happy with it.

Works great. Being spring loaded and calibrated, it makes packing the coffee correctly easy.

High quality, heavy duty coffee tamper. I like the resistance and spring load system this product offers.

Not the greatest. Gets stuck sometimes. If you care about this device, I would buy a name brand.
