Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Jay Baruchel, and many others, revisit two cult shows with creators Judd Apatow and Paul Feig. This William S. Paley Television Festival live event celebrates "Freaks and Geeks" and "Undeclared," the two short-lived but much-loved adolescent-themed 2000s TV series helmed by Judd Apatow. This special event reunites creators Judd Apatow and Paul Feig (and director Jake Kasdan) who reminisce with their cast members Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, Linda Cardellini, John Francis Daley, Martin Starr, Samm Levine, Busy Philipps, Steve Bannos, Natasha Melnick, Sarah Hagan, Stephen Lea Sheppard, Shaun Weiss, Jay Baruchel, Monica Keena, Carla Gallo, Timm Sharp, David Krumholtz, Amy Poehler, Christina Payano, Jarrett Grode, Kevin Rankin, Kyle Gass, and Gerry Bednob. The "Undeclared" alums touch on such topics as: Poehler's experience working on multiple shows with Apatow; Apatow's determination to use Segel, rejected as the lead, in a supporting part as often as possible; and Gallo's many embarrassing roles in Apatow's films. Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: Baruchel's habit of playing characters that are bad with women; and speculation of what might have happened to the characters in their later lives. The "Freaks and Geeks" alums touch on such topics as: how Apatow and Feig came up with the show and its basis in their embarrassing high school stories; the network's refusal to air the episode "Kim Kelly Is My Friend"; and the cast's youth and how it was "everyone's first real job." Questions from the audience then lead to a discussion of the following topics among others: Kim Kelly's future; the "disco scene" in the series finale; and writing realistic teen dialogue.

Good watch for true fans
This would be fun for true fans of the old series. I watched it really only because one of the actors is a friend of mine.

Five Stars
One of the best shows ever, hence the networks cancelling it after one season.
