Works well
Update 2: I bought my 2nd motion detector outlet as the receivor of the 1st one broke. The reason it broke was because of the continuous multiple detection within a short period of time. There were days that had gust wind and rain, the curtain by the window moves for days. I knew the motion set was contantly working because of the wind and curtain, so I turn of my air purifier ( the electronic that attaches to the receiver ), but I forgot to unplug the receiver and it eventually burn out from literally constantly 24h/day x n day being on and off.The 2nd motion detector set works well. It turns on when it detects motion, and turns off automatically after 10 minutes. This time I put the sensor in a box, to limit its detection from certain angels. This trick helps a lot since my cat walks to the litter box only from certain direction. ( I use the motion set to turn on and off an air purifier next to my cat's litter box)-------Update: having this device for about half of year, it works great. If you put the device near a curtain, it will react as contain moves by wind. It doesn't turn on the device for no reason. It has a sensitive sensor and with a wide detection range, anything that moves, even heat will trigger the sensor.--------Old review:bought this to turn on air purifier next to cat litterbox.about 1month of use, this device starts to acting weird: when there isnt anything moving, it turns on.other than that, it works for me. It turns on a device for 10 mins and turns it off automatically.I sometimes watch horror movies or tv shows in the same room, and I think it also detects ghosts. It turns on when there isnt anything moving. It does add some extra effect when watching scary movies...If you are looking for something with this rare functionality, you can give it a try.

Nice But Not for Us
The remote switch is a nice option to have when you cannot have a hard wired switch. It is easy to install and works nicely. It looks like a regular wall switch (with some added depth). My only issue with the remote switch is that you need to have different frequencies if you want more than one switch in your home. I purchased three switches hoping to get different frequencies. However, I received all "A" switches. Because they were all "A" if I turned off one switch, all three lights (in different rooms) would turn off. Amazon could not guarantee that I would get a different frequency and I could not locate "B" or "C" through other sites so I decided to return the switches. It is a great idea and the price was nice but since I could not have three independent switches, the system just would not work for us. If I only needed one switch this would be my go to product for sure.

Design flaws
Works great but sensor’s mounting mechanism could be better and obstructs battery compartment. The battery compartment also requires screws, not very human design

Excellent wireless switch for single-use applications
I bought this to power a string of christmas tree lights in my fiance's apartment. The switch is mounted on a wall perpendicular to the outlet, about 20 feet apart with clear line of sight. It's been in use for a couple months now and works flawlessly so far. The switch comes with a removable back plate which makes it very easy to mount - just mount the plate and then slide the switch onto the plate. Installation took 2 minutes. The switch is a two-way toggle that activates and deactivates the outlet whether you press up or down. This is actually pretty cool as well because you can just mash the switch with your hand and it'll do what you want.As this is a 5-star review, in fairness to the reader I will point out that I only used a single unit in this application. Several reviewers have reported that all these switches and receivers operate on the same wavelength and do not have unique signal codes, which means that any switch will activate all of the outlets within wireless range. But if you only want one switch, I can highly recommend this one.

Not well designed, not well built
While I like the concept behind this unit, in practice it leaves a lot to be desired. The first thing I noticed about this is the 10 minute timer. It cannot be varied. Additionally, once the time is expired, you must actively move again within sight of the sensor. You would expect that every movement would reset this ten minute time period, but it does not. If the unit detect motion, it turns on for ten minutes. At the end of ten minutes, if there's no visible motion at that exact instant, the unit turns off, even if there had been motion a minute earlier! This means that you find yourself waving to it a lot to restart your lights. It's extremely annoying if you're using this as a light to a work area. The second issue was with the quality of the build. Once I decided to return it, when I went to take the plug out of the wall, the ground portion of the plug broke off in the socket. It looks like it screws in and the threaded bit just broke off. I had to use a needle nose to get the ground plug out of the socket.Pros:- Remote sensor is niceCons:- shuts off every ten minutes and requires restarts- ground plug is not a quality designIf you don't need a ground, take a look at GE's other remote sensor/plug - it's far better made and does not require you to restart the unit every 10 minutes (ie, if it detects motion any time within the ten minutes, this restarts the ten minute clock.)
