The hooks are rather small so it's best suited for thin chains and beads. It won't hold big chunky things. For my big chunky necklaces, pearls, and wristlets, I bought a row of hooks made for scarves or belts. **Q: Are these reusable?** A: I did not use the adhesive strip on the back, I just used 2 pretty tacks per necklace holder to put in the small holes on the sides, so yes if you do that they are reusable! I’m not sure if you can reuse the adhesive though! **Q: What is the depth? From where it mounts to the wall to the end of the hook?** A: its a 1/2 inch. I used them in an old house, old apartment, and current home again now! The size is perfect for all wall sizes/arrangements, love the appearance, super easy to set up, and does it’s job very well. I have had these up for years at a time and it has never fallen, yet is easy to remove if needed. The only thing is they are REALLY sticky so you can see on the inside of the door to the builtin ironing board cabinet I stuck them on and then tried to pull them off and all the backing came with them. I still need to clean that off. The door wouldn't shut so I had to take them off but FYI, once they are stuck on you can't reposition them. Luckily they have two little holes in the corners so that I was able to mount them to the wall with nails instead of the door. I ordered two times and really like them. They did bend when I pulled them off the door so I just heated them with my hairdryer and got them to lie flat again. These work exactly as described. I will probably be ordering more of these in the future!Just some observations:The hooks are a little narrow, so if you have bulky necklaces, they may overlap a bit. It’s not a dealbreaker though, as long as you follow the chain of the necklace up to the hook, you can get them off easily. My mom has MS and she can do it perfectly.The adhesive is the sticky foam kind, like used to hang posters and whatnot back in the day. So it might be a bit difficult removing them from the wall but I’m sure you can get removal pointers from Google. They secure very well to things!They do have holes to hang them up, if you’re scared you’re going to damage your walls. The holes are perfect size for nails! Or perfect size for a piece of string looped through and hung by Command strips or whatever else.
