My favorite pencil.
I use pencils for my work as I make notes while doing interviews for my job. These are the best pencils I have used and I have tried a number of them to include the classic Ticonderoga. This pencil is exactly the right combination of hard and soft so that it is easy to dry with but the point last a good while. Great grip!

Great drawing pencils
I have been a "jack of all trades and a master of none" for most of my life (I'm 67) and among my many interests, I've drawn pencil portraits of people since the mid 80's. The "Black Warrior" brand has been out there for many years. A company called Berol had them then Makdo (probably spelled them wrong) bought them out - now papermate... But the quality has always been there and I've used nothing but them for my graphite drawings. They are excellent! And for the price, you'll not find a better pencil. The picture attached will give you a decent idea of their quality. I'm sure a professional could do far better.

Old Skool Pencils - Runs circles around other brands!
Not sure why Ticonderoga seems to have cornered the pencil market. Mirado Black Warrior pencils have been my go to forever. First, as a CPA, crossing i’s and dotting t’s. Currently, sketching t-shirt designs. The Warriors sharpen well, never crack points, are comfortable to hold, aren’t devoured by pencil sharpeners, and produce a smooth, dark, solid graphic. For minor erasing, the Warrior eraser and/or other brands are fine. For sketching, I recommend Staedler mars plastic erasers . Lastly, I am pleased that the product quality didn’t change after Papermate’s purchase of the company.

A pencil worth being a snob about.
We love these. Life is full of things to be a snob about, but if you like to draw, or write by hand, pencils are important. If you have ever written or tried to erase with a bad pencil, you know it. Little hard bits in the graphite, an eraser with a hard surface that has to be worn off, or too much abrasive in the rubber, wood that makes the pencil too hard to sharpen. A pencil that is a good pencil is a comfort, a cheap luxury. It takes a nice point in the sharpener without work. It glides along the paper without distracting issues, erases well, feels good. I can't speak for everybody, but I think it is worth it to seek out excellent pencils and spend a few extra bucks on them. My friends apparently feel the same way, they're always "borrowing" them. ; )

Good Pencil
These are a really good pencil and even with my arthritics in my hands I am still able to use them. They write so smooth and nice. I really like them.

sleek and stylish
I keep my pencils in small crystal vase on my desk and love the way these sleek, black pencils look. Why not have your pencils match the elegance of the rest of your decor? They write fine, but took off once star because they don't erase completely. Use a separate eraser if you want...or just decide there are no mistakes in creation

I'm old school, still use wood pencils, and these are the top reasonably priced ones
I use these in my office and shop daily. People give me grief, but I don't care. These are high quality pencils, they sharpen smoothly and easily. I have yet to use one in which the lead is broken. I've used them for years and will continue to do so. Buy the inexpensive aluminum Amazon brand sharpeners, or the Staedtler sharpener with the attached shavings holder.

Love this pencil— buy them every year for my Grandson first day of school. He loves them too.
