Easy to use
Should have had one years ago for treating my koi pond , when doing a partial water change you can’t accurately know how much salt is in the pond without a meter like this.

No battery
For the price I at least thought it would have a battery in it

Works well
Works well. Great price. This is not the waterproof version. But as long as you don’t drop it in the pool you are okay. I leave it inside the house, and go out to the pool with a cup and bring a cup of water inside to test. Also, I keep a bottle of water with in, because it says to rinse the sensor probes with bottled water after use. I give it a quick pour with a couple tablespoons of bottled water, so the same bottle of water lasts a long time. Great value for this model. If you are going to store it outside in the pool area, then I’d recommend getting the waterproof version. But if you are storing this inside, then you can save some money with this non-waterproof version. Seems to be very accurate compared to the professional test at the local pool store.

Always dying
Not sure what was wrong. Maybe a faulty unit, but every time I would go to use it, the batteries were dead. Insert new batteries, it would work for one test. I would turn it off and the following week, it would be dead! Insert new batteries, rinse and repeat.

Works Great and I prefer this to the disposable test strips
I bought this when our salt reader stopped displaying on the screen. The salt system was working, the display just went out for some reason. Our pool tech recommended getting test strips or taking water to the pool store to test. The problem with the test strips is that they are one use and cost around a dollar each. I found this meter and it is working great for our needs. I've verified the salt by testing and then taking some water to the pool store to test. Came out really close. I like that this is reusable for as many times as needed - no one use strips for me.... Would recommend for someone in the same situation as us.... Makes keeping the salt levels where we want them very easy.
