Lodge Silicone Mini Hot Handle Holder, Dishwasher Safe, Black

This silicone handle holder is a perfect addition to my Lodge cast iron skillet. It fits securely, provides a comfortable grip, and protects my hand from the hot handle while cooking. It’s easy to slide on and off, simple to clean, and feels durable. If you use cast iron cookware, I highly recommend adding one of these. It’s a small accessory that makes a big difference. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This handle fits snugly onto my cast iron skillet, and doesn't move around when I move it. While it won't block all of the heat of a hot pan, it does help mitigate it enough to avoid injuries. I would gladly purchase this again for all my other current and future cast iron supplies

they are amazing I am glad i got 2 of them one on black and one in red...very durable I did not have a problem getting them on or off my 6.5 inch cast iron skillet..easy to grip non slipping easy to clean light weight but thick enough can feel just a hint of heat on handle but not even close to hot enough to not be able to hold in hand at all i did not get burned putting or taking it off... i see it lasting me awhile i would def recommend this as I am very pleased I bought them and would again must have accessory...not sure about flame resistance i had my cast iron in my toaster oven adn then put the handle on after i took it out of oven ...

Messed up and ordered this Mini Silicone Hot Handle Holder by mistake, instead of the larger one. :-/ It actually fits tight on my 10.25" & 12" skillets, but it still kind of squirms on the handle if you try to pick up a loaded skillet with just the one handle. It works well if you use the assist handle (with the silicone handle cover that is made for it) and use two hands. Got my 10.25" to a rippin' hot 5 minute pre-heat with the handle already on it, to sear a sous vide steak, and I could still grab and lift the pan barehanded when I was done. It was a little warm to the touch, but still very manageable, with no sense of urgency to want to let go of it. These things are really made to slip on just before you grab the skillet, and slip off right away once you are done moving it. Some people have the misguided notion that these are meant to stay on the handle for a whole high heat cooking cycle (some even leaving them on in the oven) and then burning their hands. Of course they get too hot to handle when you do this. ...THEY ARE DOING IT ALL WRONG! You use them like you would use a pot holder, slip it on, move the skillet, then slip it off right away. This Mini holder doesn't easily slip on or off of the big skillets like it is supposed to do, so I will likely buy the larger version of it for my big skillets. I'll probably keep this smaller holder, and buy one (or a few) of Lodge's small skillets for it to fit on.

This was purchased to permanently add to the handle of a Nostalgia MyMini Personal Electric Skillet & Rapid Noodle Maker. The handle gets hot enough that we needed a mitt or something to grab it, and we decided the best way to resolve that problem was to permanently add this, it’s great for hot handles, the color of course is very nice, and although this is made for different pans, with a few small adjustments, it is a great fit, we’ve used these before, we especially like them, because they last a long time.

The idea is sound, but it's still HOT even with this thing on the handle. The problem is: you have to put this on before cooking. Then, the heat permeates through this thing. Putting it on after the pan is hot is a non starter. Basically, you still need a heat resistant cloth when handling hot cast iron. 3/5 stars.

Fits well and protects the hands from heat

This holder fits nice and tight on my 10 inch skillet. I was hesitant to buy this one since its made for 8 inches and below but reviews seems to tell me otherwise. I'd recommend this for those who own 10 inch Lodge iron skillet.

works well, I had burned myself a couple of time picking up pans where the handles were still hot, this takes away the problem, love it.

La protection contre la chaleur est efficace. Malheureusement le manchon est un peu trop grand et rend la tenue du manche assez instable. C'est inconfortable avec une poêle lourde.

Essential to have this as pan handle gets very hot. Works well.

It gets warm but can handle the pan without oven gloves. Much safer. Recommend! Just wish it yould come with the pan so I didn;t have to go to the trouble of sourcing it separately
