**Q: Can I record a saved show from a Tivo?**
A: Hi, thanks for your email, you can connect any audio or video equipment and transfer the content to DVD's discs as long as they are not copyright material.
Sony VRD-MC5 has the circuitry that detect copyright material.

**Q: can I record my vhs tapes from the vcr with this recorder I do not have the camcorder anymore?**
A: You can play your VHS tapes in a VHS tape player, and connect using RCA audio/video cables into the DV Direct.  Put a blank DVD into the DV Direct and it will check it.   On the next screen that comes up pick Video to DVD.  For input select video.  You should be able to see what the VHS is playing when you look at the tiny DV Direct screen.  Cue it up, then press play on the VHS and Record on the DV Direct.

**Q: Will this device burn during the event ( live feed via camera )**
A: If the camera is plugged to the dvdirect and a dvd is in the dvdirect it will record, but it`s better to film  with the camera and then plug the camera to it and make your dvd. This is the 3rd one I have owned. Right now my dvdirect is making my dvds a little darker then they show on the camera. I`m gonna get another one or find a different on. I`ve had this one 3 years. It` still working good only the videos are coming out darker.

A: Hi Tim, thanks for your email, it will work with any video equipment, 8mm, Hi8, digital8, MiniDV, DVcam, HD and VHS/S vhs  VCR.
