SkechersWomen's Synergy Collab Ankle Boots

The boots were comfortable and warm but I have mobility problems and as the zip is on the outside of the boot I couldn't put them on or take them off by myself. Unfortunately I had to return the boots.

So I bought these boots - they look great and were comfortable when I put them on...however, the pair of boots sent to me had a manufacturing flaw: a faulty right boot zip (for which Skechers are taking absolutely no responsibility).Like another reviewer (who gave them one star), after an hour of wearing them I found myself with a boot that was almost impossible to get off because the zip broke while I was walking (NB: I am a 63 year old woman who takes care of her belongings and walks slowly and calmly...I was not playing football or running around in mud while wearing them). Like that other reviewer, I was also disappointed and angry. (but I don't have the issues of living in the country, so I had more options)I emailed Sportissimo and proposed that they should pay for a repair - rather than my returning the boots at my own cost with potential additional duties to pay for posting them to Europe; also, frankly, I wanted the boots and figured they might not have another pair in my size.At first assessment, the guys in the repair shop advised me that the whole zip would have to be replaced...and that it was probably not going to be possible to match the colour of the zip...which would have meant replacing both zips and I was not sure that Sportissimo would pay for both boots to have new zips. However, the lady who does their stitching subsequently called me to say that the issue was with the zip slide and that the zip itself was fine; I agreed that a new slide should be fitted and that I would see the result before making a final decision.Following the repair, I have to acknowledge that the boots are not identical...because the original slide on the left book has a lovely leather tab...while the replacement slide has a standard YKK zip and metal tab. No worries if wearing with jeans that cover the zips but not so great if wearing them with anything where the zips are exposed.But Sportissimo were true to their word, covered the cost of the repair, parking and other expenses, repaid a % of the tax I had paid and also gave me a token financial gesture as an apology. I would buy from Sportissimo again.HOWEVER...Skecher's comment on the situation was that if I want a refund for the boots, I need to post photographs of the boots once I had cut the labels out of the boots and damaged them to make them unwearable. Personally I think that the wanton destruction of brand new items is a moral abomination and that it is an absolute disgrace that Skechers - a global brand - are even suggesting such a think. Shame on them.but I have the boots and they are worth 4 stars (even with the repair)...and Sportissimo deserve 4 stars for being patient, understanding and true to their word.NB: had to get the zip on the left boot repaired too after 2 weeks. so great boots, terrible zipsSkechers deserve contempt and to be boycotted for their attitude.

Lovely smart looking boots that fit very well and are super comfortable. Very happy with purchase and can highly recommend.

I love these boots but unfortunate after wearing just a few times the zips on both sides (located on the outer side of the ankle) undo by themselves as you walk. It's a real shame that a better quality zip with a little stronger grip was not used.

Unfortuately the side zip was broke i had to return them, such a shame they fit really well and so comfortable.

These boots are very warm that have comfortable insoles They are a bit hard behind the heal The grips are very good on ice
