Stimulating, Thought-Provoking, and an Absolute Must-Read.
Colin Willis' "Magic Mushrooms: the Truth about Psilocybin", explores the uncovered world of psilocybin mushrooms through their recreational and medicinal effects on societal development. Willis' work is groundbreaking, as he determines that the presently maligned drug has transformed numerous lives. Supported by the most recent research, Willis identifies the correlations between substance usage and the prevention and treatment of increasing, prevalent mental health issues, such as OCD, depression, and anxiety. In addition to his educated and personable form of writing, the author will invite you to explore a deconstruction of our society in all of its twisted and exposed glory. With an extensive comparison to other accessible drugs, this book is stimulating, thought-provoking, and an absolute must-read.

Worthless. Don't buy or even borrow.
Why? In no particular order: 1. Written as if for children, and poorly at that. 2. Author has no credibility. 3. No notes or citations . 4. Biggest tell that the author is clueless is the statement that an LSD experience will last between 1/2 to 2 hours and begin with giggles.

Good introduction to an interesting subject...
I tried some a couple o times in the early 70s and found the experience better than LSD (which I tried a bit more). I simply found it harder to find at the time. I am definitely open to experimenting more now at this point in my life to help with depression (I don't want anything to do with pharmaceuticals). I am hopeful things will improve legally in this "Land of Liberty)🤔

Overall good
It's a pretty good book but some of the facts are not a hundred percent. Just everything you read double check. An example is his discussion on prodrugs. He has the gist of things right.

If you take them Respect them have a super positive mindset
Short concise points, beginners quick study guide, pamphlet style. Do a lot more research than (this little pamphlet) and focus on the preparation with your own self if you choose to embark on what can be a life altering experience. If you make the decision to go read this book accompanied with some Golden Teacher/FLESH OF THE GOD's Should still research and prepare what you plan to ingest and put in your body.If you take them Respect them have a super positive mindset. Have good people with you Be happy, be safe, Take to the outdoors, wood works/woods,mountains,beaches again "OUTDOOR'S"

Waste of money even if it was only a few ...
I would not even cal this a "book". It appears the information was cut and pasted from various internet resources with amateurish attempt at writing to connect the pieces of information. Waste of money even if it was only a few bucks.

Short and to the point . book took all of about 30 min to read the entire book.
****
Good read.
This book gets straight to the point. It's short but very informative. It took me three days to read. I feel that no one has any business in trying anything out (generally speaking) unless they've done their research.

A for Effort...but this isnt the book youre looking for
I appreciate the effort of the author. Writing a book is no simple task, and it takes some patience and dedication. That said, I feel like it was written by a 14 - 16 year old for some sort of school project. Like a really long essay that I wanted to mark up with a red pen because of all the grammatical & logical errors..A+ for effort, as I hope the next generation of young humans learn more about our origins and the entheogenic plants that helped our brains evolve. The book seems to be self-published and printed. No official book-like markings or copyrights or publisher info.

'Introductory' is accurate.
This is basically an essay, not a seriously researched piece of work. Definitely not in the Stamets or McKenna league.
