None. Also, you retain the factory air intake. More likely to lose the car in deep water or snow than flood the air intake with heavy rain or snow.

Will there be probables driving in heavy rain because of the scoop?

There is still the intake tube from your front grill which is lower on the air box itself. If you removed that it'd defeat the purpose of the air ram of the opened scoop. That being said I drive my 09 Mini S with it in all weather and have had no issues. There's a small drain hole below the MAF sensor so I suppose as long as you didn't drive through a huuuge puddle it all comes out. It works great and is worth the money if you have a auxiliary boost port below the box on the Minis you need to shim the box up with longer studs to clear the boost port.

All US r55/56/57 cars are MAF (mass airflow sensor equipped)...Euro r55/56/57 cars do not use a MAF. If yours is a US car, it's a MAF car, and this will fit.
